We have moved into Blue Skies of Texas East. The people are very friendly. Our apartment is 500 square feet, so we've gotten rid of most of the things that we're very happy with. We have a swimming pool, a hot tub, lots of hills to walk, Tai chi, and water exercises. We have activities and a lot of social clubs, as well. You have to pay extra for the food, and it's improving. The facility is clean, there's no problem with that.

Blue Skies of Texas was very nice. However, I could move into the other place and get a two-bedroom for about what a one-bedroom was going to cost me out at Blue Skies. The apartments were very nice. The staff who gave the tour was very nice, too. However, one of the things there is that you get an allowance every month for food, and then once that's gone, they charge you more. The place was very clean.

We moved into Blue Skies of Texas East. My husband had been diagnosed with dementia, and this looks like a place that will help his future problems. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very spacious. They have a nice gym and a swimming pool. They have movie nights and bingo. One of the things that made me come here is that they promise to take care of us until we die.

We loved Blue Skies. That was where we were going to go, but it just didn't work out that way. My mother wasn't ready to go when they had a place. We kinda lost our spot, so we weren't able to go. It's a big facility. It's assisted living and memory care. It has a lot of military retirees. The facility was beautiful. They had a hair salon, activity rooms, outdoor spaces, a gymnasium, a PT room, and all kinds of things like that. I had some problems with emails and phone calls with their staff.

We are new residents at High Rise of Blue Skies East and are very happy to be here. The staff are wonderful. We have met some who have been working here for 20 to 30 years! If you are looking for a good value for your money look at Blue Skies East units. The prices in dollars per square foot are very attractive.

My brother and I first visited Blue Skies East several years ago when my mother expressed interest in moving there after our father passed away. We were very impressed with the grounds, the facilities, amenities and the overall friendliness and professionalism of the staff. My mother has lived there for 4 years now and we are thrilled to see her so happy and thriving in this wonderful environment. As a cottage resident, she basically has everything she could possibly want or need during this next chapter in her life, with a healthy dose of independent living and knowing that a variety of assistance is available to her when she needs it. She can enjoy the privacy of her own home or take advantage of the various social opportunities offered in the community. She can dine with fellow residents at Cochran's, or at the beautiful Sky Lounge, go off site to neighborhood restaurants, or simply just cook at home. She can join exercise classes or utilize the gym's great selection of workout equipment, or walk with her dog along the winding paths around the beautifully landscaped grounds and dog park. Since that first visit, Blue Skies has not disappointed, exceeding our expectations, providing peace of mind for my family, and most importantly a comfortable and content life for my mother.

Blue Skies of Texas East was very nice, they had some very nice facilities, and originally they only catered to retired military officers. The rooms were very nice, very spacious, they were in the process of remodelling some of them. They had a nice indoor pool, a nice dining room, and a really nice sky-high dining room where they would have more formal, elegant events.

This facility was nice in appearance. Friendly staff. This facility takes care of their veterans and has frequent transportation to Lackland. On the property is a nursing home. The resident apartments are nice and located in a tower. The meal I had was good and lots of items to select from the menu.

Blue Skies of Texas East was a nice place, and I would recommend it. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were nice and a good size. The location was fine, and the grounds were well kept. The pricing wasn't within our budget, and they have a buy-in.

Blue Skies was the one we were the most interested in. We liked the setup, the friendliness, and the apartments. There were people in the library that were playing cards, painting, and taking a crafts class. There was a lot of stuff going on, and activities were posted in the facility. You don’t really need to go out because they had a hairdresser, a bank, and car service to see the doctors.

I am a short-term resident at The Mission at Blue Skies East. I'm here receiving rehab for my knee. I can't say enough wonderful things about this facility. the staff and the food here are outstanding (definitely not hospital food), my compliments to the chef. My room is very comfortable and this is just a great place to relax and get better. The therapists that are working with me are outstanding. They are very knowledgeable and they treat me with care while encouraging me to do "just a little bit more." I can already see improvement in my knee. Thank you Blue Skies for taking such good care of me..
Provider Response

Blue Skies was very nice but did not fit our needs because they did not allow pets in the building, although you can visit them in other areas. The food was very good. The apartments were small but nice.

I was impressed. It was supposed to be for the military, but they opened it to other people, and as a result, it was expensive. The apartments were older, and they were a little small. It was beautiful. They had bus trips, and they had games like bridge and chess. The staff was fantastic.
