We chose Adante Assisted Living for mom because the place was very friendly, very clean, and there were no bad vibes. Everybody's just great and nice. They're very informative. The food is excellent. They have a chef on site, and he makes everything from scratch. They're always doing something. They have a salon, a pool, a clubhouse, a gym, and washers and dryers. They've got everything that you would need. It's very nice.

My mom is at Adante Assisted Living and the experience is perfect, it's excellent. She used to live there in the independent living section, and so she's familiar with it. That's one of the reasons she chose it. It's also an excellent facility. It's a beautiful facility, the layout is perfect for people with wheelchairs or walkers. The halls are nice and wide, you can turn your wheelchair around if you need to. The restaurant dining room is beautiful with plenty of space, and the food is excellent. I've eaten there several times. They also adapt it to whatever you want. If you have a request, they can fill it with almost anything. They can make a breakfast to order for you, they have a list of about 15 items that are available at every meal, and then they also have two specials for the day, so it's a very wide variety of options, and it's really good food. I think that's important for people in assisted living, because they don't really have very many things they can enjoy, and that's one thing they can enjoy. So far, everybody's been very friendly and helpful, and willing to do aything she asked or anything I asked for her. They're just really good. They have such a wide variety of activities, they have many activities every day. They have bingo but they also have a lot of intellectual activities, study groups, they have a theater, and just about everything. They have about five or six activities every single day. I've never seen any place like it, we've looked at a lot of places and never found anything as good.

My tour at Adante Assisted Living was excellent. They're very knowledgeable people. It's a very nice facility. They could not have been nicer. I couldn't have been more pleased. The staff who gave me the tour was fabulous, very knowledgeable, and very willing to spend her time with me. The rooms were lovely. They're smaller, but that's what assisted living is. They showed me the dining room, but I didn't see any other amenities. I know they're there; I just didn't see them. They have studio-type apartments.

I was very impressed with Adante Assisted Living. It was a huge building, and you didn't have to go outside to get to parts of it. We only saw empty rooms. We didn't see any rooms that had people living in them. I know it sounds very intrusive, but it would have been very helpful if they had been able to talk to a couple of their residents who would have said, "Yes, they can see what it looks like, they can see where we live," but that didn't happen. I liked the location and I liked that you could get to everything inside without having to go out. I liked the common areas and the dining area was large and comfortable. They showed a couple of the food and they were superb and very, very good. I was interested in sort of a studio apartment, but they don't have that. I want a smaller area, so that's what they showed me. They may have larger ones as well. The staff said that they have a lot of different activities, but they also take trips into town and they certainly take them to H-E-B and other places like that. It's very surprisingly well run. She was very knowledgeable, very friendly and very good. She was excellent.

I've been very satisfied with Adante Assisted Living. The marketing director, Mindy, has been outstanding. It feels like the right place for my mother. I like their apartments better than any of the other apartments at other assisted living facilities we looked at because there were two separate rooms. She has a sitting area and a kitchenette, and then she has a bedroom and bathroom. There were two separate areas, which is really nice, instead of one big room. The staff was very friendly. We haven't moved there yet, but everything has been so great, so far. I'm just very satisfied, and I think it's gonna be a good home for my mother.

Adante Assisted Living was too far away from where I live, but it was very nice. It had several levels and long hallways. I didn't like the location and the size of it. I wanted something smaller.

Adante Assisted Living is a nice place, but we want my wife closer to home. The staff is very nice, very helpful, and does a good job of escorting me around and explaining everything. The day I went there, they were more involved in a gardening exercise.

I visited Adante Senior Living and really liked the fact that you could move to a different level of care without having to leave the community. I liked the layout and that the area is very clean. It also looks like they have a lot of things going on, like taking their residents on outings. I would really recommend for people to look at the place.

We visited Adante Senior Living for our mother. It was very nice, very relaxed, and looked very fancy. From what I was told, it was all inclusive, so it was one flat rate and no a la carte services like the other places offered. I thought that was really good, but it was out of our price range at the time. The staff was very friendly and had a greeting card waiting for me. I felt like a celebrity! The rooms looked comfortable and well kept. Overall, the place was really nice.

Our parents were Charter Members and they were surrounded by loving and thoughtful caregivers. Our father died peacefully two years ago and the outpouring of love and concern by staff and fellow residents was amazing. My mom continued to be cared for by the same loving staff.

I visited Adante, and I loved it. The place was fabulous. It would have been perfect for my mother-in-law, but when I offered to take her there to see it, she absolutely and adamantly refused. The place was beautiful. It looked like a resort. I would live there. The staff was very welcoming. They even had an apartment for me to look at. They were wonderful. I spent about one hour there on the ground and they answered all my questions. The rooms were clean, and the room I went to was actually a resident's room. She graciously let us in to look at it. It was spacious, and it was a nice apartment. I saw the dining area, but I did not eat there. It was adequate, gorgeous, and beautiful. They had a game room where the residents could play games with each other. I thought that night, they would have a casino night, and they took side trips. I would recommend it to others.

I was able to visit Adante Senior Living, and it is fantastic. It’s very fancy. The rooms are perfectly clean. They have breakfast and either lunch or dinner. They have a grand piano that is playing in the entry. It is just unbelievable.

Adante Senior Living was the one I visited that I liked. It was very nice, but it was farther away from my home, so it wasn't as convenient for me; it wasn't as convenient from where I live. The people were very helpful and very congenial. We ate there, and the food was good. The rooms were exceptionally nice, and they had a kitchen with a full-sized refrigerator, which I really liked. The dining area was very nice as well. It was very pretty, very well-decorated, and very clean. It was a very nice community, and everyone there was very nice.

Adante Senior Living would have been one of my three top choices. The staff was very nice. The facilities were very up-to-date and beautiful. They have a dining room and plenty of social activities. They did have community service, but it wasn’t Catholic.

I have a brother-in-law at Adante. It is a very nice and very large facility. He has a one-bedroom unit which is big enough for him. It looks luxurious to me.

I have lived in Adante more than 3 yrs. I know nothing about Assisted Living or Memory Care departments. I am over 90 yrs. old, and there is one thing I know full well: there is no place else that could be better for me. I never anticipated winding up in any "old folks home", but this is more like living on a cruise ship, because I have elected to participate in most of the available activities. I feel surrounded by new, caring friends. I feel safe, comfortable, and respected. There is much more here than beautiful architecture. As for expensive.. yes, but I don't pay utilities, taxes, yard men, or repair men.

My father is in Adante Senior Living. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are just fair; they are not really big. The dining room is very nice, and the sanitation is excellent. They have a lot of activities.

The memory care of Adante was understaffed. They had too many patients for the number of staff members they have which meant that they were overworked. Basically as far as the food, that was just fine. When my brother became aggressive, they called his wife to come over and take care of him. The rooms were great. It was just that for the cost that they charge, it was outrageous for the care he was given. The food was great; there was no problem there at all. As far as activities, they have plenty of activities for the people.
Provider Response
At The Adante, our Pathways Memory Care Programming focuses on the resident by partnering with family members to provide the highest quality of care. Our associates are trained to standards that exceed the mandatory requirements. We partner with family members, as a familiar presence or loved one can have a calming effect. Our associates are trained to recognize the importance of relationships and understand that “caring” means “partnering”. If you have any additional concerns or questions, please feel free to contact Donny Veal, Executive Director, at 210-493-0103.

We visited The Adante for my mother. We actually love it. The apartment was fabulous. It was very large, and it had a lot more storage. It had a refrigerator too. The facility was new. We love everything about it. The people were very friendly. The residents that we talked to invited us into their apartments to look at it. Everyone seemed happy. The restaurant was great. We didn't taste their food, but they did have two gourmet chefs. The facility is in a lovely area, but it is not in the area at San Antonio that my mother is familiar with. My sister and I like this place the best. Mother likes it too, but it is not her favorite. Security was great. At that time we visited, there were no activities going on, but there were a lot of people out in the sitting area. There were people in the card room playing cards, and there were people walking around. I saw the area where they have their exercise. There were a lot of people up and about, which was interesting. The people that we saw, most of them were not even on walkers. The staff was great. We met lots of people on the staff, and they were all good, very nice, and accommodating.

I like Adante Senior Living very much. The only thing I didn’t like about the facility is that it was like a big resort, but everything else, the staff, was nice. The people there were very nice as well. The food was outstanding, and the rooms were very nice.

I am on a waiting list for Adante. I liked the size of the cottage, which is a medium size. The food is very good. They got a very good staff. They are considerate in answering my questions and showing me around. The residents I have been contact with in the happy hour were all very friendly and we’ve had very good conversations.

We moved my mother to Adante over a year ago. She is so happy there. Her appartment is great and she feels very safe which is important to us. The meals are also great. She was under 95 pounds when she moved in...much too thin. Now she is about 105 pounds. Yes there might be hiccups along the way but that will be anywhere you go. Every Monday she takes the bus to HEB to get a few personal items which makes her feel a little more independent. I do provied everything else for her care. She has slight dementia so I am so glad that she can live in the independent care housing and know that she can be moved into assisted or memory care if needed in the future. My husband I eat at least once a week with her so I feel that I do have a good handle on what the facility is like. A good friend of mine moved her mother to the assisted living facility and also is so happy with the support she is getting for her mother. The home is well cared for and very clean. They have so many social outings and my mother can chose to participate...or not. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants a safe, clean, active enviroment.

After a less-than-stellar experience with another Castle Hills area assisted living center, we moved my mother to Adante - she was one of the first three residents in this facility. Her apartment (not room) is LOVELY, her kitchen makes it feel like a home to her. She is on meds management and has become friends with her caring nurses. They have incredible on-site, on-property, and "field trip" social, fellowship events! We're so pleased with Adante.

I would think twice about putting my family or friends in this facility. It is very pretty, true and many of those who work there are friendly. But the beauty does not go farther than that. Those who are in charge do not follow through on things agreed upon. It is expensive and the care given does not meet the pricetag. They are horrible about communicating when things happen with my family. They do not live up to the agreed upon care. They are short staffed. Do not be dazzled by the pretty facade.

The management of this facility lacks leadership and organization. Caregivers aren't trained properly and this has resulted in tremendous turnover. Complaints are listened to but never acted upon. Same problems over and over again. Facility is only two years old but hasn't been cared for. Think twice before putting your loved one in this facility.

My mother in Law is there now and is having mild dementia. I have never heard of the "Memory Care, etc" program. The nursing staff and all staff are great. The outings are terrific. However, one of the biggest issues was she would be transported to Mass each week. They have been without a driver for months. If something is important to you, get it in writing, they have lots of excuses, but no solutions to this problem.

Cozy rooms with kitchen area, dinning room and living room inside your apartment. Indoor hallway access. Fun entertainment and happy hour.

We visited the Adante Senior Living facility on the advice of a friend who lives in the area. We are checking out facilities to find a suitable place for our aunt. The rooms in the facility such as the living and meeting rooms were all nicely decorated and home-like. The living quarters offered range from spacious cottages to nicely sized apartments -- all with full amenities to assure a comfortable living environment. There is a theater, chapel, beauty and barber shop, pool room, library, computer lounge, craft room and library - which all of the residents may enjoy. The meals offered look delicious and there is a lot of variety, plus they will provide meals anytime as residents desire them. The same holds true for the snacks which looked flavorful and are offered frequently. Social activity at the facility ranges from quiet time to lively conversation, dances, socials and other gatherings. Friends and family are encouraged to visit frequently. They offer a memory care specialty center, and every need of the residents appears to be handled with a great deal of caring and compassion. A very nice place for seniors of many kinds to live.
