My mother will be moving into Southern Wind Manor. It was affordable, but also it's a smaller community and more of a family atmosphere and we liked that. Everything is well cared for. They have renovated everything including the floors and they've painted, so it's very clean looking. It's not super modern, but it is very nice. They have a person who gives them showers once a week. They have a beauty salon there. They asked us to eat there and their food was really good. They have a full-time nurse on staff, and they have a doctor that comes in once a week. It's a family-owned facility, so the guy that runs it is the son of the owner. The full-time nurse also takes care of a lot of things and so we talked with both of them, and they were very helpful. You can tell they care a lot about what goes on there. We liked them a lot.

I went to Southern Wind Manor. It was lovely, the staff was very accommodating, very nice, and the rooms were lovely. They had a very nice room set up for medical online consultations and psychiatric consultations, but there was no pool. I only met 2 of the staff members and they were very accommodating. It's right across the street to the public library, and I think reasonably close to the hospital.

Southernwind Manor is not as flashy as other places, but I have never seen better care. To me that is the most important.
