I toured Autumn Wind and I wasn't impressed. We had known some friends that had relatives in there that we visited before COVID. We saw both assisted and independent living facilities. The people seemed OK, but a little standoffish, but again that could be because of the COVID stuff, but the facility was nice. Other than that, I didn't see much else 'cause, again, I couldn't even tour too much. There was just a standard room. They had an activity room. It was nice, clean, and modern.

I went to the Autumn Wind Senior Living. They take you where you need to go, they help you with medication, they provide three meals a day, and they have a barber shop and beauty salon. The apartment was small with a little kitchenette, one bedroom, a living area, and a bathroom.

This is a very beautiful facility and there are very caring people involved with the residents. Activities are really great. Food is pretty good. Only draw back is that there no real medically trained personnel at the facility which can cause issues providing for proper medical needs.

I visited Autumn Wind. I saw that the rooms were very neat, very clean, very well kept, and very large. It did not smell like an old folks’ home. The staff was very helpful and very nice. They were on time to show me around and gave me names of people that would help me. I liked the cleanliness and the spaciousness of the rooms.

My daughter chose Autumn Wind. They have studios and one-bedroom apartments, and she has opted for a studio apartment that has a small kitchen, living area, bedroom and a bathroom, and obviously the bathroom had been set up for handicapped people. They have a dining facility, and one thing that my daughter was interested in was having lots of activities to do. She was particularly interested in exercising, and they have an exercise class once a day. She can have her car and a mobility scooter there. The staff was very nice, helpful, and answered questions. When she went back to make up her mind, they were helpful with anything that she needed.

My mother always said she would rather die than go into a nursing home. She used to volunteer at various nursing homes and was convinced that it was a place to wait to die. However, when she visited her sister-in-law at the Autumn Winds Assisted Living, she was very impressed with how nice it was and how friendly the staff were. Due to her health and many medications, she really needed assisted care and this place fit the bill. She has been there for 6 months now and is doing so much better with regulated medications and healthy food. She thoroughly enjoys the social activities and seems so much happier now. Thank you, Autumn Winds!

Autumn Wind Assisted Living is very beautiful. I was told about it by friends in my community about it. It is fairly new; it is about four years old. The surrounding is well kept and has really nice decorations, nice tile, and wood floorings. The people are very nice. My mother is very happy there. The staff are very caring, and they seem to enjoy their work. They have singing groups that come in. She has played a few Bingo games, and she likes when the entertainment comes in the most. They have monthly birthday parties.

I visited Autumn Winds for myself. They didn't have independent living yet and I'm looking for an independent living. However, their assisted living facility was really nice. Their rooms were nice and big. They made it out really nice too. Their halls were really big and wide. When you first come in, they have a really big fireplace and it looks really homey. The staff is really nice and friendly. During my visit there, they went out of their way to show me every little detail about what they have. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

My great grandmother is a resident at this facility. She has lived there for close to a year now, and has had a very good experience in general. The food is much better than any other facility in the area, the people are more active and pleasant as well. The rooms are immaculate, the staff are all wonderful. They have media rooms, cable television in every room, separate bedroom and living room areas as well. The grounds are well kept and landscaped. The cost of living there is higher than other places, but not by much and the quality is so amazing that it's a wonder they don't charge even more. All in all, Autumn Winds is, in my opinion, one of, if not the best, assisted living facility in all of East Texas. You or your family member will not be disappointed should you choose to live here. I'm happy to have my family member in such a wonderful place.
