We toured Novellus Kingwood. The community itself was great. The rooms were nice and big. The unit was almost like a studio apartment for my father. They were very sweet when it came to giving us a tour. They took their time, and they answered any and all questions we had. If my father had been able to move into a facility, that's the one we would have chosen for him. The building was in pristine condition. They were painting a little, which was perfectly understandable. They wanted to update it, especially after losing power for days and days. But other than that, it smelled good. It didn't smell musty or anything like some places do. It was fresh smelling, very bright and open. It was a lovely facility. The room had a perfect layout. The rooms were nice and spacious.

My family LOVE the fact the care staff is definitely top tier! very respectful and responsive. The building is dated but the service and staff makes all the difference. A must see!...and the home-made cinnamon rolls "chef kiss!" good.

I toured Novellus Kingwood. I just popped in there unannounced, but they showed me around. They were very nice. They were very attentive and answered all of my questions. They were very informative. So, it was a very quick tour, but it was very nice. Everybody was very friendly. It was very nice and very accessible. I think I saw a semi-private room there. It was lovely. I think it was close to the kitchen. They did a lot of activities as well with the senior care members. The maintenance was very nice and very clean. It's a very nice garden. It's very pretty.

I went to Novellus Kingwood for a tour. Everything looked very good. Everything was very clean. There was a good feeling about it. It felt like it could be a nice community. However, I did not feel that the rooms were very big. The staff who gave the tour was excellent though. She did a very good job. I have visited a lot of places and I've been visiting places down in Houston for my boyfriend, so I have a good comparison. I think everything was as good as it needed to be and could be. I think she did a great job.

We toured Novellus Kingwood. The community was very nice. They seemed to be very close-knit like a family, which is nice. The staff was great. The staff was a lot of fun. The executive director was fantastic. She gave us a tour, and she told us everything they end up doing regarding their activities and everything. I like the rooms. I thought the rooms were of ample size. We saw the dining area. We didn't taste the food, but it was a nice dining area. I like the facility.

My parents moved in memory care a month ago. I love that the apartments in memory care are private with a private full bathroom. The food is really good, and the activities are amazing. I met the Executive Director my first visit and that stood out to me because most places management will call you the next day so after visiting. The management team is visible, involved and available is why I choose this place. The dinner the community had for Valentine's Day was so beautiful. I am happy I choose this community for my parents.

We toured several places for my mom who has dementia. We really liked the philosophy of this place. Lots of activities that are age appropriate. They believe in the dignity of the individual. I loved that the Director said “we are with them wherever they are that day - if it’s 1972. Then it’s 1972!” My mom wanted to move into a place like this - they let her tour the place and she even had lunch with some of the residents. The staff has really worked with us. I feel like they care about my mom. We also liked the simple layout and the size of the facility. New places are confusing for someone with dementia and my mom was able to adapt well. Also impressed that when I called for the initial tour, they offered to meet me same day and within an hour or so. We have been very happy with everything.

My parents have lived at Novellus for four years and absolutely love it. I truly believe that my parents would not have lived to be 94 and 91 years old if they had not moved to the assisted living facility and gotten such great care. My parents go to many of the activities that they have and the food is amazing. I go there quite often to eat with my parents and we especially love the happy hours each week with the live music. When it comes to holidays, they go all out and decorate and make everything beautiful. I shopped many facilities before I moved my parents down from Arkansas, and Novellus stood out as the very best. I would recommend it to anyone that has parents that need a safe, comfortable and fun environment for their final years.

My Husband and I called the community on a weekend looking for placement for my father in law and the receptionist Patty put us in contact with Tamro, the Director. We toured within two hours of calling. Tamro was awesome in showing us around and THERE WERE ACTIVITIES GOING ON EVEN ON A SUNDAY! Patty was so nice and prompt in providing the information. The whole team was amazing at making us feel welcomed and we are excited to be moving my father in law to Novellus!

Before we visit this community. Was a lot of questions and worries about this decision, after our tour, everything change, it's small community, feel home. Staff and residents are always smiles. It's a clean building, the day of the tour residents are having happy hour. U can see dancing and singing with the entertainment guy. 100 % recommended.

My mom is in Memory Care in a single-person, 1 bedroom apartment. She has her own bathroom and closet. We furnished the room. The Memory Care area is locked, which is helpful because my mom gets agitated and walks day and night, so the locks keep her safe. There are common areas: an outdoor garden, a living room and dining/activity area, where they play bingo and other craft/table activities. Residents are sometimes mainstreamed with the assisted living residents for games, crafts, special meals, music, and parties. The staff dispenses her medication, helps her shower and dress. They clean her room and answer her innumerable questions. A staff person is always awake and present, so if residents are up at night, someone is there to care for them. I visit frequently and know the staff. I consider them to be part of my mom's care team. If they notice a change in her behavior or health, they call me. They give me essential feedback and do whatever they can to help her. If she falls or seems altered, I get an immediate call. I can see documentation of medication dispensation any time I ask. Most importantly, they are kind and affectionate toward my mom. I am grateful for this caring staff. The facilities are not brand new, but that's insignificant. This care is worth every penny.

The tour that I got at Novellus Kingwood was slightly abbreviated. We focused more on the memory care area. The facility was a good size. It seemed like they had plenty of friendly staff. It was the assistant director who gave me a tour. She was very friendly, gave very good answers to questions, and provided information. They had a small courtyard. The dining area was a little bit crowded.

My parents moved in. The staff is pretty cool, they're following the protocols, but yeah, they do some activities. There's enough room for two. They found a two-bedroom suite, so there's ample room. They have a hair cutting place, they take care of their clients, and they provide meals three times a day, plus there's a 24-hour cafe. My parents are never hungry, and they can come and go as they please. There's somebody there to help them with their meds right now. My parents haven't complained about the food, they eat it all, and they seem to be happy with it.

My mom has been staying at here since July 31. It's an excellent place to stay. My mom gardens a lot so they have a garden area with my mom's name on it. They have rabbits and an aquarium. The place is very nice and clean. They have a chef and a very nice dining room with real china and cloth napkins. There's a really nice receptionist who greets you as you come in the door. During the flood, they kept sending emails and calling me and letting me know that Mom was OK. They have a bus with a nice driver that takes them shopping and to banks, a band comes in, Happy Hour, a library where they can do puzzles, and a washer and dryer area. You can pay for laundry services or they can do it themselves. I could not have picked a better place. Mom loves the food. She had her birthday party there, and the only thing I supplied was the cake. They supplied everything. All the people came out to say Happy Birthday, brought out lemonade for the family, and made us all feel welcome. My mom has her own apartment, and they clean it for her. She has a life alert around her neck and they come in and assist with her medications. They have a doctor who cuts their nails if they have diabetes and they also have a beautician who does their hair. I couldn't ask for any better.

It was outstanding, and I loved it. The staff and residents were very nice. The dining room looked like a hotel. The rooms looked like nice apartments. When I went there, it was happy hour and the residents were having drinks and snacks. There was singing with a church group and all the elderly people were there, even those in wheelchairs. They gave us delicious, freshly baked banana bread, which might have been a ploy to get me to sign up, but I appreciated the thought.

It is absolutely the best place I've ever seen. It's very clean and they do a lot for the people in there. They have different departments depending on their ability. My friend is in the memory care unit, which is a closed area, and they can't go out without having someone to take them. They have activities for them, and it's just a wonderful place. Every Thursday, there are people coming in to sing and play guitars and pianos. The elderly are singing and happy. They treat my friend very nicely. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a white tablecloth, like being in a restaurant. It's excellent.

It was a smaller complex. The residents seemed happy, and the staff knew everyone by name. It was very clean. I liked it because they only had 50 residents and day-long activities.

Our experience was very positive. The staff members we met were very friendly. Overall, our impression was not as good because it was smaller. It was a nice place, though. There were adequate activities, but being a smaller place, there was not a need for much.

So far it is great for my mom. They are very courteous and diligent. They have also been pretty efficient in taking care of her. They check on her several times a day and gets her medicines all lined out. Her room is sufficient. Their dining room is nice. I haven’t eaten the food, but she seems to eat three meals a day there; she doesn’t want to miss one, so that must be good. They basically have some activities for their residents probably every hour and a half from bingo to golf to happy hours. They have exercise, and they do a lot to promote for people to go out and socialize.

I liked the location but I did not like the layout of the apartments. They only had one-bedroom units. The staff was very friendly, very helpful, and very nice. The dining area was fine. The facility was nice.

I thought it looked very nice and it would be something that I would further investigate when my aunt gets here. It looked lovely, very accommodating and friendly.

It was a very nice facility. I only saw the studio-size room, which would have been too small for my mother. The staff was excellent. They were very kind, informative, personable, and understanding. They interacted well with their clientele.
