My mom moved to Landon Ridge Kingwood. It was a good experience. They were very helpful. It was a very clean place, a very well-kept place. They had a lot of activities for them. They just did a good job of showing off their place. They were also to help with funding. Where she's at, the room was fairly large and it was clean. They took them on a visit somewhere last week. They were able to get a little bit of outside activity. They also do singing and art, and stuff like that.

I toured Landon Ridge Kingwood. They were wonderful. They were very, very helpful. They had made an appointment. So they greeted me. They walked me through the entire facility. It was just really nice as well. Some people were out in the garden, and it was just a lovely place. They were very caring. It was all very clean and very accessible. You could just tell that the memory care patients would be able to get around very easily the minute that they would come out. I asked what would happen if somebody came out of their room. "Oh, somebody is always in the hallway. They would come right out and greet your mom." So I'd like that attention to all the memory care patients.

We toured Landon Ridge Kingwood. It was nice. The facility is beautiful. The gentleman who gave us a tour was very helpful. He was very thorough. He was able to answer a lot of questions for us, which helped us. The people were very welcoming. The staff was awesome and everybody said, 'hello'. We were there around lunchtime, and even one of the chefs came out to meet us. We saw the dining area, we didn't get a chance to eat the food, but we did get a menu of what they were offering that day. It was fine dining the way that they laid everything out.

Landon Ridge Kingwood would be the one I liked the most. I liked the availability of nursing care, the attention to detail, and the friendliness of their staff. The facility was classy and very clean. They had a salon, a doctor's/physical therapy room, a library, and a movie room.

Having my godmother at Landon Ridge Kingwood has been an excellent experience. They are very caring, very loving, very compassionate, and very professional. The food is excellent. It has a variety of choices. The rooms are very spacious. They have a sauna, heating, and cooling individual settings for each room to suit the resident. They also have a salon for women, a gym, exercise rooms, and a media room for movie nights. It is an excellent and beautiful facility. It's a good value for the money.

We liked Landon Ridge Kingwood a lot. It is very nice. People are nice. The place is well-kept, newer-looking, updated and inviting. The staff was very nice and very thorough. We visited the cafeteria, but we did not try the food. They have a hair salon, a courtyard, a meeting room, and crafts. It's very clean.

We chose Landon Ridge Kingwood for my mom because of the location and the design of the rooms. She will be moving there soon. The living room and the bedrooms were separated inside the rooms. We met some current residents there, and they really liked it. We met a lot of the staff members. It was really nice, and even the kitchen staff came up and introduced themselves. We have not eaten the food, but they have a great selection. They come to the tables like waiters and take orders. They will take them out for doctor's appointments. They have outings to grocery stores and stuff like that.

My mother is in Landon Ridge-Kingwood. I have nothing but good things to say. The only thing is the price, but it's everything you would like for your loved one to have. They take very good care of her. They have lots of activities and very friendly staff. It's very clean. That's one of the things that I liked compared to the other ones that I saw when I was looking. It's very hard to get lost in it, this one is very easy for the people to find their way around. And when I first came to bring my mom there, I thought it was a hotel. I said this used to be a hotel, and they said, "No, it's always been a home." It does look like a hotel. My mom loves the happy hours every Friday. They have happy hours with live entertainment. They take them out once a week to go eat at a restaurant. One week they go eat somewhere, and then the following week they go shopping somewhere. They have people coming in from different churches offering religious services. They have all sorts of games, bingo, they do crafts, they have walks, they have a garden that they can keep up with. My mom is a picky eater, to begin with, but when she first started there, the food was top-notch, it was like a four-star restaurant. It has declined, but still, I think it's pretty good. It follows a general diet for everyone. And I think it's pretty good, it's just that my mom is picky eating. It's OK. It used to be better, but it's not bad. Everybody seems to be nice there.

My mom has moved into Landon Ridge - Kingwood and so far, it's really good and they've been really helpful. It's very hard for a 93-year-old to move and get used to a new place and they are trying their best to get her acclimated to the new apartment. She's in their assisted living. They have quite a few activities, but my mom has just moved in. She's just been there a week, and so she hasn't done any of them but they have a lot of activities like bingo, movie days, and card playing. They just had a car show too, my mother didn't do it but most of the people there did. It was in the parking lot, so most of the older residents walked over to view the old cars. It's nice that they do things like that. She's getting used to it. It's hard moving from one place to another place. She's lived in her old place for 3 years and only been in this new place a week so it's kind of confusing at the beginning, but they're very helpful. I don't think it'll take long for her to get used to being there. They have an outdoor area, common rooms throughout the two floors that they have, a TV room where people can gather and watch TV together, and they have a movie room where they put on movies at least once a week. They have a cafeteria, but they also have another place where they can sit and drink coffee or get orange juice and things like that. They can sit around and talk and it's got a fireplace too so it's nice. It's pretty expensive, but she needs a lot more care now than she did before. I would say the residents are pretty safe there. They check on them all the time.

My friend moved into Landon Ridge - Kingwood. It was very convenient for both her husband and me. The price was very reasonable, compared to a few other places that I checked. She has gained ten pounds since she's been there, which we didn't think was possible. She loves the food. She's gotten her appetite back. She was down to eighty-four pounds, but she's now up to ninety-four pounds. If we keep going, hopefully she'll be 104 pounds. I had my mother in an assisted living facility, and this is far better than where she was. The staff is very good and very helpful. If you can't find your way around, somebody will take you by the hand almost and take you where you want to go. They have activities, but she's not taking part in them. They're well maintained. I visited her the other day and we went to a coffee area where residents can go and have coffee, flavored water, or different things and visit with family, and it was lovely.

I went to Landon Ridge - Kingwood three weeks ago. I liked it. It's close to home, but I couldn't get anybody to respond to my calls. It seemed like it was very clean. The lady that gave the tour seemed very knowledgeable, but she's not there anymore. I liked the room, and I think it was a single room there for the same price as these other places. They had a movie room, game rooms, and they had a piano there. They had a beauty shop, on the second floor, they had a deck or patio with ceiling fans and tables, it would have been very nice for her to sit out there and be outside for a little while. That's really what I liked about it, and the single room. The dining area was very nice, it was a bunch of round tables, and people were eating. She showed me the menu, they had a variety, you could pick what you wanted, or you could have a sandwich if none of that looked appealing to you. It was decorated very nicely, like a restaurant-style.

We're working with Landon Ridge - Kingwood, but we haven't finalized anything yet. We really liked it. The level of service, the facility -- everything was very nice. The staff has gone out of her way to be helpful. They have a courtyard, dining, a card room, an activity room, a movie theater, and a beauty salon on site. It's very clean.

Landon Ridge - Kingwood was a very nice place. The staff knew all the residents by first name. The residents were pretty ambulatory. They had lots of amenities. That would have been the place for Mom if I could afford it. The rooms were a little bit small, but we mainly looked at rooms in the memory care section. We didn't look at the apartments across the way. They had several rooms and activities for them. The assisted living residents went on field trips and to the casinos. The staff was very friendly. I like that it was off of a major freeway, but far enough back off that you couldn't see it from the freeway, and it's in a wooded area.

Landon Ridge was decorated very formal, which made it look old. I didn't like that they had two dining rooms, and I didn't like that when we were there we only saw three or four people. I also didn't like that when I got there I wasn't given any information. As we were finishing the tour, the staff member gave me the information as far as cost and things like that, but it was odd. Our tour explained to me several times that they have happy hours and that they have guests that like to have their cocktails and things like that. However, it was repeated so many times during the tour that I just got the feeling that the place was full of drinkers, and that turned me off. They showed us the activities room, the dining room, and a room that was staged like a model home; they were all nice to me.

My mom has been in Landon Ridge Kingwood for almost a month-and-a-half now. It is OK as far as I know. She has a one-bedroom, which is big enough for a bed and a dresser. She also has a bathroom and a shower. She played bingo twice and went to the movies once. I haven't been there except for one time, however, the place is OK. It also is new.

Landon Ridge Kingwood (Isle at Kingwood) does not engage new people in their activities. They just pass out the paper with all the activities of the day. My friend doesn't know anyone or where they're at, so it's been a little uncomfortable. We've been taking her around and showing her things, but when we're not there she just sits in her room and they just let her. She was out of her medication but they wouldn't renew it, saying a family member needs to get it and bring it to the center. They treat it more like a hotel than an assisted living facility, even though we had paid for extra care to administer medicine. The rooms are excellent though and they serve three meals a day. They should improve on activities for the people and provide personal attention to get them to those activities. The staff smiles and say all the right things, but they don't do anything. Once we sign the papers, that's when the service ends. I won't recommend them. They will provide transportation.

We visited Isle at Kingwood when I was looking for a place for my sister, and it’s a very nice place. The amenities and the rooms that they showed me were wonderful. The staff was impressive. I was introduced to the different staff, and they all seemed very friendly. They have something to do every day. They even have church services. Overall, I am very impressed with the place.

My mother will be moving into Isle at Kingwood. It is new, large, and has a lot of amenities. The staff is friendly and professional. They have integrated care, so they go from regular care all the way through to full memory care. It fits her needs, so it works. The dining area is restaurant-style. They post a calendar that has a variety of events meant to engage the various residents and a social director. They take people out to do things on a regular basis, and it has its own salon. It's the right facility for her.

We only met one staff at Isle at Kingwood; she was very gracious and informative and answered all our questions. It seemed like every little thing we asked them about, there was an extra charge for so that was a turnoff. It’s important to me to have access to a swimming pool for that’s the only kind of exercise I could do and they didn’t have a pool of their own. They said I can go next door and use the pool there so that was a turnoff. It was a pleasant enough place but I’d rather not live there.

We just popped in at Isle at Kingwood Assisted Living & Memory Care, but they were very kind to show us around a couple of rooms, which we have not gotten to see at every place, so it was very nice. As far as medical needs, if our parents were a little more medically involved, we could really see the need to go to a place like that. There was a doctor on-staff as well as a couple of nurses. The staff was very nice. We were impressed.

My mother-in-law is moving to Isle at Kingwood starting the first of the month. It was her choice. It looks like it has been well taken care of and it’s a newer facility than where she was in. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They took us on a tour; they fed us lunch. She liked the food.

We moved into The Isle at Kingwood. It’s a beautiful place with wonderful programs. My mother gets very good care there. The staff is friendly and well-qualified. The rooms are beautiful, well-lit, spacious, and very attractive. The food is not the best, but it’s fine; there’s nothing wrong with it.

The Emeritus at Kingwood was very nice. I liked it a lot, and I saw they did a lot of activities with their people. I went unescorted. I did not go into a room, but I saw their entrance. There was a bar where you could have a glass of wine and I thought that was really nice.

We moved my father to Emeritus at Kingwood, and I think it is wonderful. I love the way it looks. I love all the people that I speak with, how nice their status, and how great their rooms are. My dad does volleyball if he wants to, and he goes to movies. They have happy hours on Friday nights, and they go out to lunch. They have several things that they do every week that he is involved in. However, my dad is now in the skilled nursing area because he has pneumonia, but he is recovering very nicely. He is having physical therapy, and I think they are overly great there. I will absolutely recommend them to others, and I am very pleased with them.

My aunt was at the Emeritus at Kingwood, and they were great. It was a brand new facility and was very luxurious. It was like walking into a hotel. When she was there, she would always tell me that it takes forever for them to get to her when she fell. That is her only complaint. They had a lot of activities like little parties. They also offer transportation services.

I went to Emeritus, and it was a great location because it was walking distance from Kingwood College, which offers a very heavy program for seniors. It was about a block from Kingwood Mental Center, which is an up and coming, good medical facility. They were in the process of building individual cottages and apartments for independent living. I thought that would really appeal to a lot of people. That place looked like a lodge from Colorado. I saw some of the rooms, which were very attractive. I saw a one-bedroom that they had set up as a showroom type place, and that looked great. I also had a chance to see an efficiency room, which was very roomy and nicely arranged. I enjoyed meeting one person there, but I was not able to meet any of the residents or any other staff. However, it was new and attractive. There was no doubt about it.

My mother is at Emeritus at Kingwood. She has been there about a month and a half now. We chose this facility basically because it was closer to my home. We were investigating at a couple of other facilities because my mom has some needs and Emeritus was the only one who gave us the best answers for this. The place is very nice and new. I think it’s a year old. Mother had to go to the hospital because of an infection and they were some miscommunication in that area and then when mom was out of the hospital and she had someone come and visit her and the lady in the front desk told them that she was at the hospital and so they didn’t have a record that she did come back. So those were the things that kind of concerned me. There is a lady on the floor where she is at that always comes and checks to make sure mother is going to dinner. She is very sweet and has helped me with some boxes of stuff that I bought to my mother I know they play games, have super bowl parties, and a meet and greet. Every Friday they take them to go shopping. They also take them to the doctor's appointment on Monday or Wednesday and they have nursing staff there. We were able to eat there and the food is good. The staff at the dining seemed to be pretty busy, there services are still very good.

I like Emeritus at Kingwood. I hope for my mom to be a future resident there and we're working on that. It was very nice. Their rooms were nice, clean and very homey. They were also convenient and spacious. They have hardwood floors there. The staff was very friendly and caring. Their administrator, Emily, was really helpful. She spent time with me and we worked out a price. I also talked to a lot of people that had left another facility because they were very disappointed there, but when they went to Emeritus, they said that they were very happy here.

My mom had a stroke and she is now at Emeritus at Kingwood. The reason why chose that facility is that my mom has some dementia and if she decided to keep her there it will be a nice transition. It's also a beautiful place; it's very comfortable and homey. I really appreciate that, not just for her but for us to go in and relax. The people that had been dealing with her have been fantastic. They were happy to answer our questions anytime that we give them a call. They have been very helpful.

It was fantastic and a great place. It's a little bit more expensive but it's a very nice place. I'll definitely recommend it to others. I know several people my age that have parents that live there. I don't have any idea on what they need to improve on. They're so good and I don't see anything wrong with this place.
