I love this place and the concept behind the place. Mounbatten House is a non-profit organization and it does fundraisers behind the scenes to keep the cost so cheap. There are no hidden fees-meaning they do not charge per meal, do not charge per cleaning the rooms, do not charge per doing their laundry, or do not charge per handing out the medication. I would highly recommend this place. The staff are friendly.

We visited this facility and were very impressed with the home like atmosphere and friendliness of the staff. After looking at several others in the area, our mom chose Mountbatten and will be moving in there. Not only did we feel it was a great fit for her by being a smaller more home like place but the price can't be beat!! While we visited, the residents were playing bingo and seemed to be really enjoying themselves. Mom can't wait to make friends with people her own age again!

I thought Mountbatten House was too small and too close to the major road. The people were nice. I think they had some recreational activities, but I wasn't really impressed, so we didn't spend a lot of time there. They need to improve on the appearance. Their price was OK. One of the reasons we went there was because it was within my parents' financial range.

My mom moved in to Mountbatten House today. It's a 24-bedroom facility. Each person has their own bedroom, but they share a restroom. The people there seem to be really nice and helpful so far. Some of the residents have been there for many years. It's a home environment rather than an apartment. They have a volunteer that comes in to do arts and crafts. They color, play games, and play Bingo. They have one lady there that has all kinds of different plants, and they can walk around and help with the plants. They're close to a library and the able ones can sign out and walk to it. It's not even a block away. The cost is within my mom's budget.
