My mom is settled at Colonial Lodge in Greenville. It's great because she has lived there before and so is my husband's mother so it's great. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are fine. She's got a much bigger room than she had before, a little refrigerator and a microwave, and an outside window so we are very pleased. I haven't tried the food but she has and she says it's very good and she says it's always hot. That was a complaint she has before, that the food was always hot but to me it's good. It's a really good place. She's only been there for a couple of days now so I'm not sure about the activities but I've heard them playing Bingo. Colonial Lodge is much better than the other places we've tried.

I went to look at Colonial Lodge Assisted Living and Alzheimer's Care. It was more money. It appeared to be newer, but I just didn't like the fact that I was shown a patio, and I didn't like the layout, I guess. It was a little more expensive than the other facility. It was clean, fresh-looking. The menu that she showed us and the fact that they gave you choices was good. They pretty much had everything that the other facility had. But I don't believe they had any kind of real private patio at all. You could sit on the front porch, and that's it. I saw the smallest and expensive one. I saw a one-bedroom, and they appeared to be smaller than the others. The staff was very nice and very good.

My dad moved into Colonial Lodge and we have been so impressed with all aspects of this living space and care from the staff. Everyone has been extremely helpful and gone out of their way to make sure dad is comfortable and getting acclimated. My dad is very picky when it comes to food so I have been very happy that he said - "the food is great here...really, really good." Highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful assisted living home for their loved one.

We're very happy with Colonial Lodge for my mother-in-law. It's always very clean, the staff is very friendly, very prompt, and responsive. The dining area is very nice and she loves the food. She's still adjusting so she hasn't got involved in a whole lot of activities there. I saw residents doing crafts, and they were playing games while I was there. For what we've been looking for her, the value here is worth paying.

Finally was able to get my loved one to visit and to see what was offered. Was greeted by a gentleman who was on his way out to get lunch. He told us the director would be with us in 5 min. After 15 mins still waiting the gentleman show back up. We were never taken care of. My concern is if my loved one was there and needed help, how long would it take for someone to help him?

Colonial Lodge Retirement Inn had an old building and a new building, and both were clean and very friendly. The sitting areas struck me right off the bat because there were ladies talking and socializing, and it had a very warm atmosphere. They had a courtyard area which was very nice. The new building was very nice, too. The staff was extremely friendly and communicated very clearly.

The Lodge at Colonial is one of the nicest assisted living facilities I have been in. Always clean with a welcoming atmosphere, Nelda Y. does a wonderful job of making all the residents feel like this place is their home. My mother loves it there, especially the good food and all the activities. We have been most impressed in all they do to help the residents handle day-to-day living.
