I visit my dad in Avendelle Assisted Living of Euless. It's a very nice home, and my experience has been very positive. The staff is very supportive. The care for the residents is personal. He gets more personalized care than he did at the assisted living place he was at before. He's very content there. The facility is very nice and well taken care of. The bathroom facilities are nice. The rooms are nice. The food is cooked. It's a very nice house. They have fire protection in there, and it's in a very nice neighborhood. All in all, it's the kind of place I'd want to be if I were in that situation. My dad doesn't eat because he has a PEG tube, but I've been there during meals, and they sure look awfully good. The residents basically participate in activities as much as they want. When we checked Dad in, a couple of the ladies who were sitting at a table looked like they were playing a board game. The place is only licensed for five residents, and there are varying levels of activity. My dad prefers not to participate in any activities, so he's happy. It's top notch all the way around.
