We take a group of young students into the facility to visit with the residents. We go often into the nursing home for community service and our students just love it. They talk to them, tell them jokes and play different games. Our organizations: mother daughter/father son program and the AVID program enjoy visiting with the patients and spending time with them. Our students have grown attached to them that they request to go often. They like to play lottery and bingo and we always take a lot of stuff animals and other gifts to reward them. Thank you to Heidi, activity director and Gabi, our courteous nurse who have opened the door to us for five years. The are always inviting and cordial.
may God bless you

This is the most dirty, unprofessional, very disorganized and most uncaring place I've had the displeasure of having to enter or experience in my life. If I could give less than a one star rating I would. Please do not leave your loved one in the care of these people. This is not a safe place. As a patient or family member you have the right to be treated with dignity, there is no dignity in this place. Please take the time to investigate the place where you will be handing over your family member to, this is not the place for them. I invite you to come in at anytime, you will walk out in disgust.

Oasis provides a respectful, safe environment with planned care for its residents. Our beloved mother receives care that takes into account her interests and preferences. She is allowed considerable input into the development of this plan and can make changes when needed. Oasis makes sure residents get preventive care to help keep them healthy. The arrange appointments and provide transportation to specialists (eye doctors, ear doctors, dentists, podiatrists, and mental health care professionals) on a regular basis; and they ensure that designated family members are notified of all medical services to be rendered. Flu shots and other vaccinations are made available in accordance with their screening program. There is a medical doctor who is available for consultation 24/7 and who provides personal medical care as needed. In cases of emergency, Oasis has an arrangement with the nearby hospitals. In addition, Oasis schedules and facilitates participation in social, recreational, religious and cultural activities that are important to my mother. Family members and friends are encouraged to visit at all hours of the day and to decorate the living space as desired. If our mother chooses to, she can leave the facility with one of us for a few hours or days—always in accordance with her wishes. Family members can talk to staff as desired as long as they are not involved in care or service duties at the time. Appointments call always be scheduled if desired.

My grandmother was in this facility and it was awful; on one occasion there a family member went to see her and her entire attitude where she was so miserable. They did not take good care of her at all. They were horrible ruthless nurses. My cousin went to see her and she was shocked when she did my grandma had a huge bruise on her eye that took up half her face. It was dark and purple and black; it was grotesque. When my cousin asked the nurses how this happened they claimed to have never seen it before. My grandmother didn't know how this happened. We found out later that the woman that my grandmother shared a room with came forward and told the investigators what had happened. The nurses that had claimed to have never seen the giant bruise on her face in fact had dropped her when they were helping her get out of bed and they told no one and did nothing about it. They instead pretended it never happened. Needless to say my families experience at this particular nursing home was horrendous.
