From the moment my brother and I stepped foot into Denton Rehab and Nursing Services, we felt at peace. The facility looked and smelled clean, had friendly staff members, and felt like home. Oakley gave us a tour, answered our questions, and helped us with the admission process. We knew that our father would be well-cared for as he received therapy to improve his overall health. He was excited and so were we. Cyrus (his nurse) made him immediately feel comfortable. Tiffany (the evening supervisor) worked with us so they could best help my father. When my father's health took a turn due to his cancer, the staff members were informative, empathetic, and truly took care of our family in addition to our father. The Assistant Director of Nurses, Kim, helped us to understand what was happening with him, and stayed by our side throughout his last two days caring for him, holding our hands, and crying with us. Sharon (daytime nurse) and Cyrus (evening nurse) kept my father comfortable and attended to his needs. Our family felt supported and at peace. Words do not adequately express the care we received at Denton Rehab and Nursing Services. Five stars does not seem like enough.

I had my mom in this facility four different times. The first three were for rehab. The first time she was there she had broken her hip. The rehab department was terrific and she recovered well. Mom had been sent home from another rehab but was not doing well. We brought her here and so grateful we did. It was discovered that she had a blood clot that had been missed from the previous rehab. She was rushed in for surgery and we came back. She finished her rehab and did beautifully. Th...

I have had my grandparents on both sides and father in law stay at Denton Rehab. My Grandmother V.C. loved the place. At first she wasn't too sure about being in a "nursing home", but after some time she felt like the queen and loved all the activities and the staff. My Abuelita came for rehab after a terrible fall in her home. The therapy was great with her, and I am pretty sure she wanted to take them home with her. My father-in-law came during the pandemic and we knew it wouldn't be coming h...

I transferred my brother from his Ft. Worth nursing home to Denton Re-hab where he would be closer to me. It was difficult for me to make trips to Ft. Worth to visit with him and keep an eye on his care. He is doing so much better now. I can see it in his face. He was stressed out from the environment in his old N.H. He is much more relaxed looking. The rooms are large enough for two residents without looking crowded. It is truly about the residents here. The environment is quiet. The s...

My father has moved to Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The staff was very helpful. This is something that we've never had to deal with before. They were very helpful navigating things like the insurance, getting him admitted, and guiding us on the different ways we could get him settled. It is an older facility, so there are not a whole lot of amenities. They're building a new facility, which will have a lot more to offer. I haven't tried the food. My dad is on their regimented sched...

My Mom has been a resident of DRNC for 1 year. I cannot tell you how Blessed we are to have this facility for her. The management and staff are top notch, and she has received the best care possible. My mom is 88 years old and in very good health physically. She does suffer from dementia and other minor health issues for someone her age. The biggest challenge we face with her is that she's deaf and requires someone to be able to talk with her. They have gone above and beyond to accommo...

During the Coronavirus outbreak, my dad needed Rehab care after being in the hospital for a few days. Since we were not allowed to visit and check on my dad, I had to rely on what the nurses and therapists told me at the rehab. We did FaceTime, but my dad is very hard of hearing and has trouble speaking, which is why we needed to get accurate information from the rehab staff. After being at the rehab for 10 days, he was moved back to his assisted living home, before more restrictions were put on...

My mother was in this facility for 8 months, starting with rehab. Her initial stay with all the Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy was great. However, her longer stay proved to be challenging with C-diff multiple times and UTI's, which we suspected was from infrequent changing and lack of cleaning her and from CNA's or others who entered her room who did not properly wash their hands between residents. There was poor communication between aids, nurses, and their supervisors. Promises wer...

Can't tell you how unhappy I was with the care. We finally got Mom moved to a different facility, but immediately after doing so we found bed sores where she had not been turned/up as needed, she had not be kept clean and had almost constant infections because of it,. The food was terrible...I "ate" with her several times and I can tell you it awful. Not only that they completely ignored food dislikes....and worse...dietary restrictions imposed by her doctor. The PT/OT analysis that they pro...

My husband is in rehab right now. He is at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. They do a very good job. They give him his medication, they assist him with bathing, and they take care of his personal needs.

I selected Denton Rehab for my mom on very short notice and very limited options from the hospital case worker. I did some internet research and decided to go with Denton Rehab although my mom had been in a very prestigious rehab facility last year. Unlike the prestigious facility, the nurses and all other staff memberat at Denton Rehab have been outstanding in making sure mother's needs and wants are met. The facility is not the fanciest in the area, but it is clean and smells fresh. My mom wan...

There were hardly any ever people working there that were easily visible or found. The desk when you walked in rarely had anybody working at it, and there were several times that I specifically tried to find someone that it took anywhere from 5-10 minutes to find someone that worked there. There was also an unpleasant smell every time I went and visited. I didn't see much of the facility except for walking to my Grandmother's room, so I can't comment on much of the building except the small part...

To dentontx1269: We apologize for your experience while visiting our facility. While staff members do not typically sit at the front desk, they are usually visible and available to assist with answering any questions. Our staff members are trained to be attending to and caring for our patients needs. I apologize that you were unable to find someone to speak with on that day. I feel that our staff is very approachable and accomodating to our patients and families needs. It is my regret that we...

My Mom has been in this facility for almost a year. She has late stage moderate dementia and is unable to care for herself in any way. I have found the staff to be professional, attentive, and caring. Mom is not a difficult patient but she does have very vivid and constant hullicnations. The staff is great in dealing with her, much better than I am. They have also been very supportive to me and take alot of tiime to talk with me and anwser questions to help me understand how to cope with Mo...

It is a huge step to turn the total care of someone you love over to to strangers. It is not how your loved one ever wanted to end their days and you feel guilty and sad and like you're abandoning them. When we moved my husband's grandmother to DRNC we found we had included her in a new family. The care was extraordinarily good, kind and understanding. The staff was always happy and helpful. The medical care was wonderful and more immediate than we had expected. We were informed of every single ...
