I just moved out this weekend on my way to Florida. I can only pray that I would be blessed to find another home as “wonderful” as it has been here. Management is very friendly & top notch at their job!

I have checked out Evergreen at Arbor Hills. It's a very nice place. The thing is I'm on a waiting list, and that's kind of a problem when you're trying to get moved out of that kind of thing. So that's the only thing that makes it hard for me, because I'm in an apartment situation right now. However, the rooms are very nice and spacious. They have a workout room, and they serve breakfast and lunch. They also have a salon for women, and they have a swimming pool. The swimming pool area is very nice, and the whole area inside is very nice. The staff are very nice, too.

I don't like the way Evergreen at Arbor Hills is run at all. There's always something wrong with everything and something right about everything, I don't like it at all. The bingo is not much, because they don't run anything, and the people who live there have to handle everything. I'm sure it's an organized community, but only for the people who run it, not for the people who live there. It sounds good, it looks good, but the people just need to do a lot of investigation before they need to move in and not believe everything at face value. It's nothing more than an investment company, and the people who live there are the cash cows. There's 18 of them, and all they do is take their money. They have investors and they invest. They don't serve food, they only serve meals on wheels for people who have very low income. It's expensive for some people. There are people paying close to eight hundred to a thousand a month. They have a hard time keeping managers. It's only been open three years and they've had four managers. There's about 140 women who live there, but only about 20 of them come downstairs. They have beautiful rooms, but it's like they're on their own pretty much. It's very cold and it's not warm. A lot of people are moving out of there, first because it's a beautiful place, but they built a new construction company on one side of the building and everybody from that side of the building is moving out because ten feet from their window are great big trucks carrying big cars up and down the alley. There's a construction site that goes on practically 24 hours a day and people can't sleep. As far as I'm concerned, it's not a safe place because of that. The east side of the building is really scary. My friend said there's also no insulation in there at all, so you can hear everybody upstairs when they go to the bathroom. And these people are paying a lot of money to live there; it's just not constructed well. It's not conducive to peaceful living for senior citizens.
