My father moved into Argent Court Brenham. It's a very nice place, very clean, very well-kept, the service is okay, the food is good, and he seems to be okay there. The staff is giving him his medication, they're helping him with the showers, and they keep his room clean. They have different sizes of room, it's one open room, but with a separate bathroom, and I did not look at the bigger rooms. They have arts and crafts, church devotions, bingo, dominos, and different kinds of socials like ice cream socials, games, and exercise classes. He said the food is excellent.

My mom has been at Argent Court Brenham. The staff is very friendly, attentive, caring, and my mom likes them. They do have issues occasionally with prompt care, and that's probably because they're shorthanded. They have programs, sing-alongs, bingo, dominoes, and exercise classes. The building is pretty old, and they could improve on their cleaning staff and the promptness of their response time to the residents' needs.

We're moving my father into Argent Court Brenham. It was conveniently close. It was nice and clean and the people were friendly. The rooms were very nice and clean. It has a nice area for card playing, a living room area, and good social areas. It's pretty good.

The units at Argent Court Assisted Living were very, very small. It is an older facility and well taken care of, but it looked a little shopworn. Everybody we talked to (including the people that live there) seemed to like it. The staff was good, too. The staff seemed to be well-liked, but I think they have a bit of a turnover problem. We took a tour and saw the library, a gathering area, and a nice big dining room. There was nothing out of the ordinary; they just have the normal stuff. The inside of the facility was well-kept, but the outside sort of needs a little refurbishing.

My mother will be moving in to Argent Court Brenham. We got the room, and we have been decorating it. It is very nice there. It was close to my mother's house, and she has been there before and felt comfortable. They have a little living room, a bedroom, and their own bathroom. It was very nice. The staff seems to be very involved, and they do a list of activities every day. It seems a lot of residents are participating in the activities. There were a lot of people coming out to the lobby just to visit each other, instead of staying in their rooms. They are choosing to come out and mingle. The staff was right there with them. The activities director and nurse seem to know everybody, and it was just very nice. There were different choices in terms of the room, and we chose the second to the largest. She has a living room and a bedroom that looks out into a center court with a gazebo and everything. The bathroom is large and has a walk-in shower. You pay extra for more care, but she would need that anyhow. The prices are a couple thousand dollars less than they used to. Even paying for the nursing care was less than they used to. The dining area was very nice. When they go there for breakfast, they will be given a choice for what they want for lunch and dinner. If they don't choose anything that they are making, they have standard things that they can choose (like a salad or sandwich). There were some extra choices. They usually have a list of about five or six activities per day (like in the morning they'll have devotional, manicures, gardening, or have a movie social or ice cream social). They have bingo twice a week. There is always something going on. The activities director is right there, and they also play some cards or dominoes.

My brother and I met at Argent Court Brenham yesterday, and it was a warm, inviting, and friendly place. We were given a tour by a very knowledgeable person who could answer all of our questions. It was my first time to see something like that, and I was very impressed with the information that I heard. We saw some of the activities when we were there. What I saw was a very comfortable, friendly, and homelike setting.

Argent Court Brenham was very nice and the people were very nice. They don't deliver the meals to the room without charging you. When I added up how much it would cost for each meal to be delivered to my room, I realized I just couldn't afford it. The rooms are on the small side, but they are new, nice, the paint's nice, they're and clean. In my opinion, they shouldn't charge for meals to be delivered to the rooms because some people can't help it. They have exercises, and you can get together in different areas. They also have church services.

My parents moved to Argent Court over 4 years ago. I was at first concerned about the room size until I realized that it was just their personal space and the size was comparable with other facilities. When you add the space of the lobby, dining room, sunroom, game/social room, library and private dining room, there is more than ample space. The facility itself was always clean, well decorated and well-kept. The food is excellent. Connie, as the Activity Director, does a great job of planning activities and socials for the residents. I guess it's hard for anyone to make this sort of move - to sell their home and move to somewhere new, but I would always stop potential residents and their families when making a tour, and tell them how nice of a place Argent Court really is. It's not just the facility itself, but the love, respect and care shown by the staff to all the residents. My dad passed away July of 2016 and I could not have asked for better care for him, than what the staff provided. They went out of their way to make his last days as comfortable as possible. My mom continued to live there, in the room they had lived in together. It was home to her and she had so many good memories there. She passed away the end of January and again, I could not have asked for better care for her and our family. Over the 4 years I visited my parents several times a week. In all of that time, I never had a complaint about staff, food or any issue that wasn't resolved promptly. They also try to include family members by having Mother's Day, Father's Day, and Valentines parties as well as the "Thanksgiving Feast" where residents' families are welcome. Robin, the director, is amazing and was one of my mom's best friends. As you can tell, I have only good things to say about Argent Court in Brenham and would recommend it to anyone.

I was happy with Argent Court. It was a nice place that would have worked for us, but we’re looking into some other areas to see what else might be available. It was great. We didn’t have any problems. The little apartment had plenty of room and a nice-sized shower, and the dining room was great. It had a beauty shop, and that was great, too. They have all of that right there.

I was not involved in the process of deciding which facility that my grandparents were going to retire to but I was there when they moved into Argent Court. They were both living independently before their move there and as I recall it was difficult for both of them. They moved from their large home into the somewhat small apartment at Argent and it was a tough to sell most of their furniture for the move. I was pleased with the facility when we moved them in though. We were allowed to eat with my grandparents and the food was very good. I could spend as much time with them as I liked and we were rarely interrupted except for the occasional attendant who came by and checked on us. She was very nice and courteous despite the fact my grandfather can be abrupt and is often perceived as rude. I know it was hard for them but they seem to be happier overall not having to worry about the bad things that could happen and the facility is treating them well. They are watched, fed, and cleaned up after. It was good for everyone involved and I would definitely recommend this facility to others. I only gave it a 4 because of how small the apartment actually was.
