We found Country Place Senior Living of Athens. It's very small, family oriented, religious background, and my mother has been there for a little while now. The staff is very giving, they're very loving people, they seem to care about everybody that's there, and they're just very sweet people. Recently, they've gotten two new cooks, they are having some issues with the cooks, and they're still working to get a permanent cook. It's not real fancy, but the rooms are very nice, very well kept, they keep it clean, they do all kinds of activities to keep them busy. They have church service, they have puzzles, they have a table where they put puzzles together all the time, they play yahtzee, they play bingo, there are all kinds of craft making through different holidays, and they have a beautician that comes in and does their hair.

Country Place Senior Living of Athens was nice. The lady that runs the place was very nice. She showed us around. It wasn't a bad place, but it was a little bit claustrophobic in a way. It was a little bit smaller, and the biggie thing for us was that it didn't have a bus for transportation. They rely on private vehicles, so that was one of the big downfalls. But otherwise, it was a nice place. The staff was nice, too. The upkeep was good. The rooms were nice. I didn't have any problem with it, except that it was a little closed in. For amenities, they had a courtyard, a little place out front, and one in the back. Of course, they had activities for the seniors. It just wasn't what we were looking for.

I liked Country Place Senior Living of Athens. I liked the atmosphere, the courtyard, the people, and the cleanliness. I thought that it would have been a good option. The staff was very professional. The only reason it wasn't selected was Mom has a 70 pound boxer, a dog, and they wouldn't allow that there. They only allowed small dogs.

The people at Country Place Senior Living of Athens were very nice and very kind. We were impressed with their staff and Nicole, the general manager. We were also very impressed with their activities director. She told me about some of the things they do and she was delightful. She would be fun to work with. We met their nurse, too. They were all very cordial. They showed us two apartments and told me about all of the services that were available. The only thing that I didn't particularly care for was their food. They served lunch to us (me, my sister, and my brother-in-law) and it was not very good. I did not eat, maybe even half of my food. Other than that, the people, the place, and everything else was top-notch. They showed me the beauty shop and the laundry room. It was beautiful. They had a fire in the fireplace.

I had an in-person tour of Country Place Senior Living of Athens. All the staff were very friendly. The facility was very clean and up-to-date. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I thought the rooms were a perfect size. The dining area was nice and clean, with a fireplace. They were doing a little Bible study when I left, and that was neat. They had sidewalks to walk on, a front patio, and a back patio. A part of it was covered, so you could sit out there if it was hot. If there were openings, it would be a great place.

We toured Country Place Senior Living of Athens. The living atmosphere was good. It was very casual and very comfortable. It was nice and clean. It's small, too. They have a film room, and they watch movies. It was just a simple small room, and they would have popcorn and stuff. The whole place is all open. Some people were sitting there, which is like any other place. You go in and you see elderly people sitting in the dining area. The dining area was nice. The rooms were smaller. The staff were very friendly. At the time we went in, they were having a house cleaning day and she apologized. She goes, 'Hey, it's our house cleaning day. We're in our casual clothes.' And I said, 'It's okay.' They were running around and cleaning everything. They were cleaning the whole place. The menu was kind of simple. The kitchen area wasn't super professional. It was okay; it was like a big home kitchen. It seemed OK, there was nothing wrong with it, but it wasn't topline.

Country Place Senior Living of Athens didn't give us a tour, but we spoke with the manager. She was awesome. It was a very pleasant experience. She was very pleasant, very informative, and willing to contact another facility for us. The only thing I saw was when you enter the front doors, and there was a dining room and a waiting room. I didn't get to visit any of the living quarters. It was very welcoming, and it looked very clean to me. It was close to shopping and not too far from the hospital. We didn't get too much past the front door, but the young lady that greeted us was very welcoming.

My father will be moving into Country Place Senior Living of Athens. They allowed me to see his room, and I was really surprised they allowed me in. It's one room with a kitchenette and a bathroom. It's kind of small and L-shaped, so you can have a sitting area, and he has windows. I just don't know if we can still get that room because we have to postpone. I only talked to the director, and she's fine. They allowed me to go inside the facility, and that is a risk. They should be more diligent about who they allow in with the pandemic right now.

Country Place Senior Living of Athens needed an upgrade to the building itself. Their rooms seemed to be roomy. They had the same activities as other places. They also have a library, internet access, and availability for different games. There's a room where they can have entertainment as well. The staff was warm. They did a fine job. They have quite a few areas outside where you can walk around. It was very well taken care of on the outside.

Country Place Senior Living of Athens was a nice and smaller community. They only had small studio apartments and no one-bedrooms. The dining area was nice. They took the residents to and from doctors' appointments and to the store, and had a beauty shop, crafts, and card games.

The visit at Country Place went very well. I like it. The environment was very good. The way the place looked created an ambience that was very nice. I felt like I was in a hotel and not in a hospital. It was lively too. I really liked it. Their food was very good. Everything was very good. I was very pleased.

I really liked Country Place a lot. They were brand new. It was small that’s why I liked it. It only had 24 rooms. Their units were like one big room. On one end was the living room. The opposite was the bedroom, and the in the middle was the kitchen. I just liked it because it was smaller and had a homey feeling.
