Windcrest Health and Rehabilitation was fine. There were no complaints. I appreciated a lot of what they had to offer. What I like about them is that their rooms are really good. They almost have a separator in them. They have a bathroom between the beds, and so it feels almost like a private room. The staff was fine. I think they met all my dad's needs. There were no complaints by any stretch, so it was good. They have activities. The activity director is really good. They made some sort of pumpkin dip right around Thanksgiving or Halloween. The residents seemed to really appreciate the interaction and that sort of thing. They all seemed to be very happy. The food smelled good, but I didn't get to try it. There were no issues that I had on maintenance. I am very pleased with the value for money, too.

Love the way rooms open up to a central gathering area, doesn't feel isolated like the ones with long halls.. Staff not entirely perfect, but some are jewels! Specifically, CNA Sammie who always responds to a request with a willing attitude and a smile and treats the residents with gentleness and dignity; CNA Adrian who is always ready to help and gets the job done promptly, nurse Wytnea who always takes the time to listen to your concerns,. Van driver Hector who is always smiling and helpful and goes out of his way to make trips easier. Rehab - Robin B. who is eager to help wherever possible. Amy in the office who is very helpful. Smiling faces and patience go a long way in helping residents and family!

Looks are so deceiving ! My father was subjected to poor treatment. Extended periods of wet diapers. I suspect dirty as well but I never found that. He was posted on Facebook in a not so glamour shot picture. He had feces under his fingernail that had been dried his personal articles were stolen along with hearing aids I wanted to file a lawsuit but my mother was too weak to handle it. Avoid would be my advice

Dad has been at Windcrest for 4 months and we have been pleased with his care. The nurses and staff have become like members of our family and stay in constant contact with us. A friend once told me that no assisted living center we chose would ever be "perfect" and that's true. But Windcrest is walking/working with us as we face this season of life, and we are thankful that Dad feels at home there and is in good hands.

My mother-in-law lived at Windcrest for several years and was very well cared for. When she passed, the Social Worker came to our home to tell us instead of just making a phone call. My husband and I really appreciated that she took the time to do that. Our family has very high regard for Windcrest and it will be our fist choice if either of us ever need that higher level of care in the future.

My grandmother is allowed to sit at a table in a dirty diaper all day. Her feet are swollen from not having them elevated and being stuck in one position most of the day. When I asked them to help me get her to go to the bathroom and make her change her depends, they said they cannot force her even if her diaper is full of pee and poop. They said they cannot force anyone to do anything. So they are allowed to leave her in filth. She lost her hearing aid or it was somehow lost this past week there. They won't be held responsible for that. Even though she does not leave that area. It's not their problem. So she has no money for a new one, but they don't care.

Windcrest looks good, but I personally know two people who lived there, and they have to hire extra people at night. It does good, and it looks good, but you get in there and they’re understaffed.

The nursing staff is lazy and incompetent. My granddad was there for less than a week. He arrived there on a friday did not even get admitted until later the next day, resulting in none of his meds given. They monitored his blood sugars but would wait 3 hours before even giving him his insulin when his sugars were over 300. We had to ask if they had given him anything and they responded with "I forgot." I don't even know how the nursing staff received their license. I am a nurse and have never heard of anyone receiving the kind of care my granddad received. Horrible place!
