I moved into East Ridge Residence. So far, I've had a good experience with them. The basic rent includes utilities and one meal a day, but you can pay another $150 a month and get two meals a day. The rent is lower than in other places that I checked out. You're allowed a pet up to 25 pounds. They have activities, like bingo. It's a nice place and I like it. The food is excellent. It's like a sit-down restaurant. You sit down there, they come out, and they take your order. They have options that you can choose, like a sandwich or any one of the meals.

We went to look at East Ridge Residence. Everything was very nice, clean, organized, and smelled nice. The staff was excellent. She was explaining everything and taking her time. She showed me several different apartments and options and took the time to sit down and answer all my questions and go through everything. She did a great job. I met the activities director. She showed me the activity rooms and the different things that they do. The rooms were very nice, very clean, very efficient looking as far as the space. I was able to talk to several of the people that live there, and everyone there said they loved it. They all just seem so happy, so I like that about it.

I'm going to move to East Ridge Residence. It's very nice and friendly. It's a medium-sized place, but I like it for its convenience. It's right down the road from Cracker Barrel and Portofino, and it's on a dead-end street so there's not a lot of traffic down there. I think it's a good location. The staff was very friendly. The studio has a walk-in shower which I need, so that's a plus to me. I can't use it now, but it has an outdoor swimming pool, which I look forward to using next year. They have an activity director. She's got five or six activities every day that you can, take part in. They also go out to movies, go out to restaurants, and they go shopping, and they furnish you with a vehicle for that. And if you need to go to the doctor, you can give them a 24-hour notice and they'll take you to the doctor and bring you back. They have bingo, Bible studies, and other games. It was very clean and they'll clean my apartment once a week. They'll wash my bed linens once a week and they have a washer dryer just right down the hall from my room, where I can use it to do my laundry. You could have all three meals in the place for an additional charge. But if you need just one meal a day, like my room comes with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a hot plate. So I'll have breakfast and supper in my room, but I chose to have the noon meal in their dining area. The dining area was nice, clean, and has friendly staff. Their staff is very friendly, from the front desk to the dining room, to the maintenance crew. I met all of the housekeepers and they were all very nice.

We have decided on East Ridge Residence because the overall cost per month is a very good value and everything is included. Another thing I liked was they had a pool, and they do water aerobics. It was kind of appealing; but overall, the price was one of the better ones. They have been remodeling it and making it new. I was impressed with a lot of the things that they had. The entire building hasn't been completely remodeled, but it is something they're working towards. The executive director was really fantastic and wants to make it a very nice, high end, and affordable place for seniors. The room that my grandmother is going to stay was very nice and very clean. Even though the decor is still being kind of worked on, everything was nice, clean, and well-kept.

We went to East Ridge Retirement Home. It had an older feel to it, and it does not have as much of a home feeling as other places. I didn't get to meet that many staff that day, I had limited interaction with them, but the lady that showed us around was nice. Their rooms were spacious. They did provide lunch and it was tasty. They had a whole calendar of activities there. They had a workout space, an activity room, and a swimming pool out in the courtyard.

My mom is at East Ridge Residence. It's the one we chose. So far, we love it. They're very attentive. They have bingo, chair exercises, and bible studies. They have a big cafeteria, a meeting room, and a small room where people gather to play cards, there's a small library, and a lobby area where people sit, read the paper, and gossip. Everybody is friendly, helpful, and proactive. They ask, "How can I help you," instead of waiting for you to go and ask for help. We are very pleased with East Ridge Residence.

My uncle moved into East Ridge Residence. It's fine, and so far, so good. They play cards, but he has not participated yet. They have a barber and beauty shop, and an area like a TV room where they play cards. It's cozy, but the hallways are a little gloomy, and they're dark.

East Ridge Residence's inside was nice and there's a pool outside. The person who accommodated me was very good and nice. My son asked a lot of questions and she was able to answer him promptly. There was a beauty shop and a place for church services. The food we had there was very good.

The apartments at East Ridge Residence were very nice, clean, seemed very safe for an older person, and were a good size. They had bingo, movie nights, game nights, and go out to lunch once a month. On Fridays, they go to the grocery store. They had a therapy place on campus, a beauty shop, a computer room, a library, and a pool. The dining area was very clean, and I think it would make them feel like they were at home. They always had soup, salad bar which looked very fresh, and a good variety of food. They've had a good chef for eight years. I think they're doing a good job with everything.

Cindy from East Ridge Residence was very informative and pleasant to talk to. We were impressed with the size of the apartments. The grounds were very well-kept and there are some outside areas around the pool. The pricing was very reasonable compared to others.

I visited East Ridge for my mother, and it was a pleasant experience. I chose it because you can switch to assisted living if she needed it without moving. However, there weren't any studios available, only one-bedrooms. The apartment was very nice, renovated, brand new, and freshly painted. There were some residents sitting out in the lobby. I saw several rooms that were being renovated and a pool.

East Ridge is a converted hotel that is set up really wel and only had two floorsl. There is a nice-sized lobby and a front desk with people there to help you right away. You can see the dining room from there, so it is a good place to sit and people watch. Everybody was very friendly that we dealt with. The person who gave us the tour was the activities director, so she told us of the many things that they do, like cards and bingo. Dinner was being served, and they had a really nice, long salad bar set up and soup. There was a variety of choices for each meal, so it was nice that there were options for each meal.

East Ridge Residence is a former motel that has been converted to senior residence living. I liked it a lot because the price was good, they had full-sized single-bedroom apartments, and provided everything. It appears to be very friendly with numerous amenities. The aesthetics bothered me, though, because it looked like a factory, but that’s the only thing. I am considering going there.

I stayed at the residence guest apartment for a week at Christmas time. I had so much fun, as did my parents. There are so many games and activities. The residents are both physically and mentally active. The staff were always respectful, kind, and compassionate. I would enjoy living here, I did enjoy it.

Our mother had lost her husband in 2005 and was living alone at the home they had shared. She was lonely and got out seldom. She finally had to quit driving and so she had to depend on some of her family members to take her everywhere she went. We did some research and found East Ridge Residence to be well suited to her needs. We put in She loves it there! She has all the independence she had before in her home plus she has made many friends at the residence. She plays bingo, cards, etc and socializes daily with her friends and with all the employees of the facility who treat her like family. She enjoys the many good foods they serve there and she doesn't have to cook at all. She goes to the onsite beauty parlor every week to get her hair fixed just as she did when she lived at her former home. They have parties for the residents that she enjoys and dinners on special occasions for her and her whole family. They have arranged transportation for the residents and doctors that come there in case of need. They have a swimming pool for the residents and their families to enjoy in the summer. I can't say enough good things about the facility. We are very pleased with this facility and it eases our minds about her safety and well being. We are so glad we placed her there and she is perfectly happy. We encourage all of older relatives to check out the facility for their future home.

My daughter and I went to East Ridge Residence to look at it. They were at the lower part of the cost factor. As for activities, they were set up where they had a music stand where musicians could come in and play one day a month. Their hostess was very knowledgeable, but she was rather young. She did her best to show us around. She kind of apologized for the fact that the facility had been an old motel. They have an outdoor type of thing with a roof over and raised on four feet above the yard like a band stand where entertainers could perform from there, and people could sit around the pool in the summertime and enjoy that. It was lunch, so they offered a couple of different choices. We had a nice lunch. There was cafeteria type of thing where they take your order, and you can get some soup and get some tea or coffee and bring them back to your table.

Went to visit a friend and have lunch with them, and from the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted like I was an old friend. Had a wonderful lunch, which was very good, talked with other residence, and was told how much the enjoyed living here, and of all the activites that they have planned. One was telling me about karaoke nite, and what a blast it was just to have fun. I know my friend loves it here, and with all they have to offer I know I would too.

As a health care professional who has provided care in this community for many years, this is the perfect environment for the aging senior. Friendly, knowledgeable, and caring staff available at all times. Additional health related services accessible on site allows living independently possible for many seniors.

Having OP/TP on site is very very helpful. They will come to the apartment if need be. Also, it is very convinent to have an on site Dr. to come to the apartment. I appreciate the "check in" system that we have every morning to see that we are doing well. This is a wonderful place to live!

Like the activities provided for us to do. Housekeeping is very good and nice. I like having the option to use the Driver we have on staff to take me to the doctor or pick up prescriptions for me. I feel very secure living at East Ridge Residence. Carol and Crystal are always pleasant and helpful.

I have visited East Ridge Residence numerous times (several times a month) over the past few years. This center and its staff has always been warm, caring, & super helpful. There is a friendly, family feeling when you come through the front door. The management staff has a "make it happen" attitude. (I overheard one of the residents call it this and I agree 100%)! They are willing to listen to your needs and do everything they can to "make it happen." In the past year or so they have added some new services which are wonderful and make it possible for residents to stay in their home there much longer. They now have occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy located right inside their building. Also home health, a geriatric doctor, and help with medications and dressing/bathing if needed. If you are looking for a safe, happy place to live (or for your family member to live), I can highly recommend East Ridge Residence.

My brother is in East Ridge Senior Center because we know someone who has a relative there, and it is convenient for him. It has a very friendly and cordial staff. The facility looks clean and neat. It looks nice. It has a nice dining room with a salad bar. My brother's apartment is quite large with a large bedroom, and can accommodate someone with a wheelchair, though he doesn’t have one.

About 2-3 years ago, our family decided our Mother needed to check into moving to an environment that would better suit her needs for a lady of her age. We visited many places here in town and decided that we liked East Ridge Residence - due to location, prices, etc. Mother moved in and we have not been disappointed. The care, concern and helpfulness of the staff is great. I have personally told many people about the food - it is way above anything that many other places have to offer. The specialty buffets for occasions during the year (Easter, Mothers Day, et.) are unbelieveable. Not only are they beautiful in appearance but the food is outstanding. The premises are kept in good order and maintained well for the residents. There are many things offered to the residents if they chose to involve themselves. There are games, entertainment for the residents and many activities. Also, they attend lunches, plays, etc. off the premises with transportation to and from the event. We would highly recommend East Ridge Residence to anyone interested in moving there and becoming a part of their community.

I have visited this community an average of 3xweek for approximately 5 years. While I am a healthcare provider, I am not an employee there nor do I provide professional services to anyone in that community. I can, however, tell you with the utmost confidence that this is a warm, friendly community with a happy atmosphere. The staff is caring, loving, and gentle with the residents. The place is very clean -- never seen it anywhere near dirty. Particularly this time of year, the seasonal decorations are awesome and the place looks beautiful! It's a GREAT year-round home for any senior looking for a safe, clean, happy environment!

East Ridge Residence was not clean and the hallways smelled. They had several leaks and there were carpets in the hallways that were wet. They offered my mother a place for $1000/month but she declined because the atmosphere was depressing. The staff were good but it was not somewhere she wanted to live.

First thing I notice is the friendliness of the front desk employees. This facility is attractive and clean. Residents that I've been involved with have been happy living there. There are a lot of things for them to do - bingo, music, crafts, going out to eat , shopping and more. A plus for them now is they have on site physical therapy.
