The rooms have crown molding and the bathroom has ample space for a wheelchair to move freely. The porches are spacious in the one bedroom apartments They have an indoor swimming pool with optional water aerobics. Coffee and donuts on Friday is a very social event with entertainment. I lived there for 4 years and felt very safe. It is the only place in Memphis that I would live. The people are very friendly and welcoming. You couldn’t have a better support system if you are social and want to make friends. Most of the residents are Christian but all denominations and nobody pushes their religion on others. I can’t say enough good things about Bellevue Woods.

I went to visit someone I know at Bellevue Woods. The place sounded great, other than a couple of things there, that for the price, weren't convenient. Compared to other places I've checked out, they were higher in cost, but they included some utilities and things. The good thing about them is that they're like a regular little apartment, so you've got your own laundry room, you've got storage space, and there's a little porch. They're all one-story individual places so you don't go down a hallway. It's gated, and they have a security guard at the gate. So you don't even go on the premises unless you tell the gate attendant who you're going to visit.

Bellevue Woods was very clean. The landscaping was nice. The apartment size is adequate. The amenities were just very nice. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I know several people that live there, so that was helpful. The dining area was clean and big. They have a salon, heated indoor pool, meeting rooms, patios, porches, washers, dryers, cable TV, refrigerator, garbage disposal, security system, and exercise facilities.

I visited Bellevue Woods. The tour was really good. The staff was excellent. I really liked the looks of the apartment. It was roomy, but not too much. I really enjoyed my visit because it let me see things that I didn't know would exist. I saw the size of the rooms and the apartments and just the overall feel of the facility. The location was very convenient. It's close to doctors, grocery stores, and businesses. It's just really a convenient place. The surroundings are good because it isn't in a really crowded area. It's got trees around it, and it would be nice to walk in there.

I had only been at Bellevue Woods once, and I looked at one apartment. The apartment was very nice; it was also a good size. I didn't see anybody except the person who showed me the apartment. Bellevue Woods was a very nice place. The facilities were very nice.

Bellevue Woods is a good place; I'm very impressed with it. They don't have any vacancies, so I'm on their waiting list. Everything is impressive. They have a dining area, which is very clean, and different kinds of activities. They have church service, Bible studies, a hair salon, a swimming pool, and a shuttle that takes the residents shopping.

Bellevue Woods is completely independent living and owned by Bellevue Baptist Church. They have 1, 2 and 3-bedroom individual apartments with washer and dryer. They have a bus that takes you to grocery shopping twice a week.

We are sure that that this must be a nice complex, because of the appearance of the grounds and the apartments we were shown. However, the leasing manager seemed very uninterested in dealing with us--she was not friendly at all , to the point of being cold and rude. She also told us that they would accept younger people as residents--even 18 and up -- if they met the salary requirements. This seems quite out of kilter with the description given Bellevue Woods as a retirement residence for "mature adults". When we questioned her about this, she said, "Well, how many 18 year olds would want to live with older people ? That shouldn't be a problem." We were impressed with the apartments we were shown, but the lack of age restrictions and the attitude of the leasing agent definitely gave us many negative feelings.

I like the good security that we have here at Bellevue Woods Retirement. The facility is kept up nicely. We are in a townhouse with a garage. The staff are great, and they have good maintenance people. The grounds are kept nicely. We do have activities, but not very many. We have a clubhouse, and we meet every Monday and Friday to have coffee and donuts.

Bellevue Woods looks like a very nice place on the outside. It's a gated community. The grounds are very pretty. Everyone has their own porch which they can put plants and whatever out there. The leasing manager was very unfriendly, but maybe I think she was just having a bad day.
