My parents are currently in The Pavilion Senior Living at Carthage. I think the staff is very kind. The director seems very caring and understanding. I think the facility itself could gain some updating. It looked dingy and depressing, so I think that needs to change for these folks that live there. My stepmom needs the memory care, and my dad does not. So, he is extremely bored because he needs more stimulation and social interaction. The food is absolutely horrendous. It's just very bad and not even nutritionally adequate. They were very caring individuals. They seem to enjoy working with my parents. They don't have access to the right medical care. My parents have had some medical issues, and they don't know what to do with them. Unfortunately, my parents live in Tennessee, and all the children live everywhere, so none of us are very close. We were counting on them to help us take care of them, and I think medically, the physician or the nursing that is contracted with them doesn't respond very well. I think the most important thing that they should improve on is having better access to medical care.
