I talked with people from other assisted living facilities and no one was able or willing to do what Magnolias did. Magnolias accepted my father as a resident at a reduced monthly rate and they're helping him to obtain his VA benefits. When my father's VA benefits begin Magnolias will be reimbursed retroactive. Magnolias of Myrtle Beach is a nice facility with decent caring people. I've been there many times to visit and I talk with the residents and they like being there.Visit and see for yourself.

This facility is small and smells like the Salvation Army. I literally walked through the front door and gave myself a tour because I couldn't find a single staff member or administrator. There were only a couple residents who look like they had been sleeping for 20 years. I say 20 years because I know the furniture has been there at least that long place is very outdated. Definitely not a place for any of my loved ones to stay

I visited Magnolias of Myrtle Beach. They were alright. The staff seemed pretty nice. I am not going to end up going into one of those, at least not at this time. Like I said, it seemed nice, and the rooms were alright. There was nothing going on when I was there, I can't remember all the activities that they had, and I didn’t try any of their food. They lock their doors at night and everything.

My mom has been in Magnolias of Myrtle Beach for three months now. It was recommended to us by her physician. We shopped all around in the area and kind of decided on another one, but when we went to her doctor to get the TB test that was necessary before you go in a facility, her doctor said, "Don't decide on anything until you go see this one (Magnolias of Myrtle Beach)." So we went and had lunch there and talked to the director, it was so good that my mom wanted to move in the next day. We love the staff, the administrator, and everybody there. It is really great! We also love the location, the facilities, etc. We just love everything about it. It is just that good. I would recommend it to others, in fact, I already had. I'm really pleased with this facility.
