My dad has been at Brookdale for 18 months now. When we first moved him in he had a good sized room with a living area and a bedroom area. We just moved him into a smaller efficiency room as he really didn’t need the larger space. The efficiency room has plenty of space for the bed table and television. There is a walk-in closet that we are able to put a dresser in as well. The staff is very attentive to him as he requires much care now. He always smiles at the attention he gets from them. For his meals he sits with three other World War II veterans. They always mention what a good eater he is! Dad gets involved in the exercises and also likes movie time with popcorn. The location is about 10 minutes from our house so we were able to visit him frequently. The main thing for us is that he has care around the clock and is doing well for 96 years old.

We toured Brookdale Conway South Carolina. As soon as you walked in the door, it reminded us of a nursing home. The rooms were extremely small. The grounds were nice, but that was it. The facility was dark and gloomy. The staff who assisted us were very nice, very knowledgeable, and answered all our questions. There was nothing special with the dining area. It, too, was kind of dark and gloomy. The residents were not doing any activities. We met the activity director, and she was very good. She did all kinds of different things. The facility needs to be upgraded and not give the appearance of being a nursing home.

We toured Brookdale Conway in person. That was pretty nice, and the people seemed to be very nice, friendly, the patients seemed to like it there. The man I talked to was very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very fitting. Again, he was very steep in his prices, and my friend hasn't sold her house. My friend liked everything there. It was just a really nice set up that they had, it seemed like it really turned my head a little bit, it's pretty nice, and it was a lot closer for us. The location made a difference, but the price was up there where she couldn't really afford it at that time, but she probably can now. They showed me rooms that were occupied by people pretty much, and it seemed like an apartment type place. Some were like deluxe apartments, and some of them were like plain Jane apartments. They had their little walk-in closets and bathrooms, and the bed and everything right there, right in front of the TV, everything was like put in one room, and others were kind of spread out a little better.

We saw Brookdale Conway. The staff was very welcoming, and they put out a nice sign for my mom. They're hospitable, the facility was basic, the food they were serving looked pretty good, and the menu looked good, and everyone was pleasant. It was definitely more convenient for me from the work standpoint.

Brookdale Conway was very nice, but they don't take Medicaid. It's very clean, and everyone who talked to us was very nice. The rooms were big. I only met three staff members and they were all very nice. They play games, cards, and watch TV.

I visited Brookdale Conway. I wasn't very impressed with the area, it was right on Singleton Ridge Road and there's an awful lot of traffic. However, it's less than a mile away from a hospital which is very good. The people and the amenities were very nice. They had a few activities there. They also offer three meals a day.

My mom has been in Brookdale Conway for almost six years. It is a very clean and well-maintained facility. They have various rooms, and my mom has a single room, which is sufficient for her needs. They also have double rooms or what they call suite rooms and rooms that have a little living room and then a bedroom. They are probably one of the relatively lower-priced facilities. They are very professional and caring. Sometimes these older folks don’t really have any filter, but that doesn’t seem to bother the staff, and they just sort of laugh it off. I would like to see lesser turnover in staff and a little more of a variety as far as activities for the residents.

Brookdale Conway is a very nice place. The people I met were very decent. Not a lot of people are living there and everybody seemed to be happy campers. I thought it was fantastic and beautiful. People didn't have any complaints. They take people to their doctors' appointments. I went to a couple others in Conway, but Brookdale Conway was the best. They had a place for you to have your hair done, a nice garden, and a beautiful cafeteria. It's right there in the medical area. All of the doctors' offices are on Singleton Ridge Road. Everything is right there. The people I've met are very happy. You could bring somebody to live with you for an additional $1,000 a month. You can't beat that. It's great for a married couple.

We placed my mom in Brookdale Conway. It’s a very nice facility, and I’m very happy with it. The staff was very friendly, and the people were very impressive. They appeared, in all respects, to be very confident. The food is excellent, and the atmosphere is very good.

The entire staff went above and beyond our expectations. Dad was no longer able to live on his own, Brookdale staff made this transition seamless. They are genuine and loving! Dad was given the best of care! The food, activities and friendliness are outstanding. We are forever grateful, and highly recommend Brookdale, Conway, SC.

My mother-in-law didn’t like the walking distance to the dining hall. If she needed to go to hospital, there was one right down the street.

Everything was great. I had no problems with them. It was a very nice place. I liked it. It was like home. The staff was excellent. My husband had his own room. It was fine and big enough for him. The food was good, and the dining room was very nice. He was in there for hospice care for about 90 days. There isn't anything they can improve on. It was an excellent place, so I was impressed with it.

The rooms were very small, and I think they need to improve the size of their units. The food is excellent.

My mom is currently staying here. It is a very clean facility. I like this place for my mom because of the size of it, there are only 40 residents staying there. My mom is still trying to adapt but she is doing well. The people are very friendly and the staff is very good. However, I would like for them to have more staff and services for assisting residents who are losing their sight. My mom is losing hers, so it would be nice if she can have assistance to get around and enjoy the different activities that they offer.

It was highly recommended. We have friends in there. They have a get-acquainted-program. It's a very nice facility. The people are very caring and very friendly. I run the voting polls in one of our county and I know they bring the folks down to vote. They're very active. It's an excellent place.
