I have selected Ashlan Village for my mother. So far, we like it. My mother is happy there. She likes it, too. She likes the accommodations and the activities. The accommodations are really nice. She likes the staff; they're very attentive. She likes the activities. They keep them busy. She enjoys that part of it. They have been very helpful, very cooperative and very good. They have regular activities like bingo, movies, and bible studies. They probably have two to three various musical groups that come in each week. They come in and play an hour long musical presentation. They really enjoy it; they look forward to those.

I loved Ashlan Village, and even asked what the age limit is because I'm ready to live there. The place was wonderful and they showed me every aspect of that. I told Dad that this is the best place for him, but unfortunately, my sister-in-law wants him to come and live with her now. They even have a little lake out back where the residents can go fishing. They have all kinds of activities there and I got to be a part of some of it. I've seen their rooms and their food. I love it, plus the staff is great. If it was me, I would move there. We've seen every aspect of the place from the memory care to the independent living. They even showed me where they're building new stuff.

My parents moved in to Ashlan Village Lyman. It's very pretty, nice and clean. It's a newer community that's well-taken care of. The staff is very nice and very kind. The dining area is very good. Once a week they take the residents on what they call a Mystery Ride for ice cream and things like that. They have pretty much the same activities as other places like bingo. We really like this community. They have very good communication. The staff is very friendly and very patient.

I would love to move my mom to Ashlan Village. It's very elegant, well-designed and well-decorated. It's absolutely beautiful. The person who assisted me there was absolutely wonderful. I love that the dining room has a lake view. I loved the facility. They have a huge hair salon and they cater to the community and not just to their facility. The landscaping is beautiful. They had some games going when I was there, and I saw the calendar of events with karaoke, singing, and different trips they had planned for fall and winter.

I'm very excited about moving into Ashlan Village. I'm waiting until I can purchase an independent living house there. It's wonderful. They also have assisted living and an Alzheimer's unit. I think I will be very happy there. It's close to Greer which is an up and coming place with a lot of restaurants and every type of business in the world. Everyone I've met was really good and the person in-charge there came down from up north. The people were very nice. The rooms in the assisted living facility were very nice. I am purchasing an independent living house and it's a two-bedroom two-bath. The monthly fee is right for living there. They go on daily trips or sometimes overnight trips, plus they have cards, movies, and bingo.

Everybody seemed to be satisfied at Ashlan Village. The staff was extremely helpful and cordial. It's beautiful out there. There's a beautiful sitting room where families can visit privately. It's well-furnished and looked beautiful on the inside.

Ashlan Village was a small Christian community which was a benefit for us. We found the price of the housing to be very reasonable. We wanted them to build us a new home and they were very accommodating. The staff seemed to be warm and welcoming. It was an older building and the dining area was very basic. When you're in one of their independent living homes, you get one meal per day. There was a nice little pond at the back. I think we'll fit in quite well in that place. We were very impressed with the quality of the homes that were built there.

My mom is on the waiting list of Ashlan Village. It’s very clean, the people that we talked to were very nice, and we liked the rooms. I guess just everything about it we really liked. It’s very convenient, and the final thing as to why we chose them was the convenience of where it was located. It’s kind of right in the middle of all of us, and we were all satisfied. They have an activity director and several other people for everything they do during the day. They have guests coming in every weekend and some throughout the week just to sing, and they have church service every Saturday and an exercise class every morning. They also take them out in their bus and go to outings in the community to do things. I was very impressed with everything. My mother loves music, singing, and church. She hasn’t really been able to go to her church, so I thought this would be great because it will be right by her, and she can walk down the hall.

Ashlan Village is really nice. There is no medical care there though. It was absolutely beautiful. They had everything from sizable rooms to smaller rooms. Mother had a huge walk-in closet and nice bathrooms. The food is wonderful. It might be the perfect place for some people, but not for my mother and me.
