Mom has been in Manning Square for three years now. I like it, but it's a lot. You have to go in the door, push the button for them to open the door for you, and then push the button for them to leave the residence. I guess they do that so the residents can't go out, but the only concern I don't like is I don't have the key myself to the code to go in and out. I have to keep pushing the button and it doesn't make a difference. I come in at 9:00, there's nobody up there and it takes them 15 minutes to get there. I understand that they don't want them to have the code to get in and out, but I just don't see why the residents' families cannot have a code to come in and out. When I take her out, I have to come back at 10:00. I like the room that Mom has. She's in her own room. They can have animals there too, but there is an extra charge for that. Mom had her animal for probably about two years and then people complained because he barked a lot so they had to make me get that animal out, which I can understand. They have things to do. They take them out on Fridays to different places. They do crafts and stuff there if you want to do it. The nurses and the staff do the best that they can do. So, they do pretty good.

Manning Square was clean, quiet, and seemed well staffed. The personnel were all nice. It was a secure facility, too. The staff during the tour was good. She assisted me and had answers for everything. It seemed well-kept. The vibe seemed quieter than in the other places. I didn't see a whole lot of residents. I know they were there. Their doors were open, but they were in their rooms when I went.

We toured Manning Square. It was nice. It smelled good. The people were really nice and had all the information that I needed. The staff showed us the calendar, but I didn't read it. I know they go on field trips. They take the veterans on field trips and stuff. The staff was nice.

My father will be moving into Manning Square. He liked that facility. It's excellent, very attentive to our needs, and compassionate. Shelby gave me the tour and she is very knowledgeable and professional. We have a one-bedroom apartment, that is beautiful. They had different floor plans and we got to tour them all, occupied and unoccupied, and they're spacious and very personal. I think what won my father over was knowing that there are so many activities planned and that the people that live there are part of the decision-making process. They have a spa, a puzzle area, and three common living rooms. They also have a garden. They're pet friendly and they have a lot of activities. The food looked great. We went during lunch and everybody was eating everything as if it were good food.

Manning Place was very clean and very friendly. I saw families interacting with their loved ones. It's pet-friendly and that's a big plus for me. The reason why we're considering it is because of its location and that they acted like everybody matters, and I really appreciate that. They have different types of rooms available from studios to two-bedrooms. I was shown a studio apartment which had a bed, a bath, and a small kitchen. It was very spacious. They also have a salon for those who want to get their hair done and physical therapy for those who need it.

This is a smaller senior living community, the location is perfect. It is off a main road but so close to everything. Staff are engaged with each resident, they know not only the residents but also the family members. You hear laughter and feel the warmth as you enter.

It was number one on my list for quite a while. It was very well done, well shown, and relatively newer facility than the other facility. They are built in a perfect square so you could walk all the way around and through the place. Some of the doors were open so you could see the kind of room space they had, and it was very excellent. They have a living room area where there are a number of residents hanging out, and that was a good thing. It is totally assisted, and they don't really take that next level of skilled nursing care at all, so I had to take that one off the list. It was also a little bit further away from where we live, so logistically it went to the bottom of my list. I didn't have much to judge their activities except for a group of people watching TV in their living room. The person who gave me the tour was very knowledgeable, friendly, gracious, and supportive of the community she was advertising, or she was showing. She was enthusiastic. She wasn't just the typical marketing person who makes something look better. She was very genuine in what she was showing me and how she reported it.

My mom is living at here. They have excellent service. I haven't been able to go in there since she went in because of the Covid restrictions. I was able to see the place when I moved her in though. The rooms are real nice, and the layout of the place is real nice. There's a garden that is right on the outside. They can go out there and work on their gardens, and they have dinners out there once a week. They have activities that they do throughout the week. They also have three meals a day. The only time I've been in was when we moved her in last June. She's pretty much on her own except she has somebody who takes care of her medicines for her. They have activities, worship services, crafts, and Bingo.

We absolutely love them. They do a wonderful job of taking care of my dad. We could not be happier. The staff members are very caring. They have gotten to know him, and he responds well to them. He really likes it there. He calls it home. We couldn't ask for anything more. They have all kinds of different things going on. One of my favorite things, I would say, is that they have music groups and people come in and do things. When my dad is not able to get out and do, they have people who come there. We like that as well. His room is like a baby apartment. It is really nice. He has plenty of room to have his bedroom area, his sitting area, his kitchen area and then of course the bathroom. They have a theater area and a craft room that they work in. Their dining room doubles as a place to do activities as well. One of my dad's favorite places to go to is the courtyard.

It is a small place; I think they only have 37 or 39 units. Everybody there is not memory care, but they do memory care. Each unit has a bedroom, living room, a bathroom, small sink, microwave, and a small refrigerator. They have a small round table for four set up nicely with tablecloths, and the residents communicate at meal time. My mother has three other ladies she sits with every meal. They took them to mountain sights, to shopping stores, and they took them for a ride. They do pictionary, bingo, and the activities going there are very good. They do low-impact exercise classes and walking clubs. They can go outside and sit in the courtyard with trees and flowers. We have no complaints, though we would prefer she was at home, but it’s a good place to be and I really haven’t seen any problems at this point.

The recent changes in administrator and nurse are the best thing that could have happened. They are both an asset to the facility and they are making positive changes. So happy my dad is in the care of a wonderful staff.
