My mom has been in TerraBella Thornblade. She has really improved from the first time she had the stroke. We did physical therapy, and we've come here, and they continue the physical therapy. Their physical therapy has been really good. What I like the most is the people that are here. They're very sweet. Most of the CNAs are topnotch, but with my mother's level of care they don't seem to have enough people that check on her often enough. They seem to have a lot of people on the first shift, but the second and third shifts, they don't seem to have enough caregivers, especially on the weekends. Food is good, though. They have a tendency to serve maybe the same things, like too many potatoes and stuff like that. For activities, they take them out to lunch occasionally, which is good. They will take them to Walmart sometimes, but my problem is they don't let my mother know that they're going, and if I'm not here to tell her to go, then she's not able to go. We had to furnish everything in my mom's bedroom. We got it set up with a chair, a bed, and a TV, and she has a little kitchenette there. The bedroom is very nice. However, the housekeeping has not been what I think it should be for the value of the money. The bed seems to be the responsibility of the CNAs. My mom is incontinent, so she has accidents in bed, and they're doing a pretty good job taking care of that situation.

My brother moved to Kempton of Greenville. He was in rehab. He got denied his last exemption, so we had to find a place real quick. We went to visit Kempton of Greenville and we really liked the place. We liked the staff that works there. Casey was really helpful and got my brother into the place. The nurses are great. They are concerned about their patients and keeping them up with everything that goes on. They have a good facility, beautiful grounds, and beautiful facilities. The personnel are friendly. They were singing the 1980s songs and they had game time. They have three meals a day. The rooms are nice. You can bring your stuff in and decorate the room. They have three square meals a day. The food's great. The facilities are great. They have a little courtyard that you can sit in, go out, roll out, and if you're in a wheelchair or walker, you can go out, sit in a little courtyard, and commune with nature.

It is very nice and the staff seems to be well-trained in dementia and Alzheimer's care. They showed me around the community and I met all the employees. The staff seems friendly and knowledgeable. There are some private rooms and semi-private ones or companion rooms. They have just about everything when it comes to amenities, they have a hair salon, they have a courtyard where my husband could go out and sit, and it's an enclosed area. It's really nice, and I probably would have chosen them right away if they're located closer to home. It's very decorative, there's a large TV in the sitting area, they have a beautiful dining room with an actual chef who makes the meals. Everything in there is just beautiful, it doesn't look like a facility, it looks like a home. They have seating in the hallways if the residents get tired. Everybody can go out in the courtyard unassisted, it's very secure and they have alarms on the doors. They're very kind, they said that if I want to spend the night with my husband I can spend the night there. I can have family dinners there because they have a private dining room. So if we want to have dinner with my husband, there's a large private room where we can invite the family. It's very beautiful and the staff is wonderful. The staff who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, primarily about dementia and assisted living. I didn't get the chance to eat there yet but the food looked really good. It's a very clean and nice community.

My mother is in the Memory Care part of this facility. I would give this facility a 5 star rating. Staff is very caring and attentive to my mother. They go above normal care to make her comfortable. They really do a great job calming residents down who are confused or scared, as my mom is sometimes. So thankful I found this place.
