My father is at the Pearl at Fort Mill. I think it's a really good place because of the way it was laid out. It was laid out like a figure eight. You can keep on walking around, and for someone who has got dementia or Alzheimer's, it's real good. He got a nice big room, a large bathroom, and a big closet. So far, the staff has been very good. They keep an update on what's going on and what he needs. They've been real good to us. They play bingo about once a week. They have different activities like a puppet show. They had a big cookout and they had a live DJ in there, and they played music and danced, and they really enjoyed it. He said the food is good. We had no problems. They got his medication right. He seems to enjoy it. He says he likes it over there. It's worth the money.

My mother was at The Pearl for about a year. Woderful staff and care givers. The problem was after my mother passed. It took 4 months to get a refund check out of them and when I deposited their check the account had been closed. More than a year later they continue to just ignore my requests. Wonderful staff but completely incompetent management.

We toured The Pearl at Fort Mill and I think it's a nice place, it's just that it didn't match what we needed. It's a strict memory care place and my mother is not at that level yet. The staff member who gave the tour was very thorough. He was very complete on what he told us, and showed us everything that they offered. It was kind of an older place, it was nice and well-kept, but older. They had amenities, like places where people could play games, they had TV rooms, and they had courtyards. They're located near a grocery store, and near a major highway, which is Route 77.

My mother-in-law moved into The Pearl at Fort Mill. She's literally been there two weeks. From what we've seen so far, it's been very good there. The move in was great. The follow up with them was great. She's actually adjusted extremely well to a new facility, so that says a lot about them. The whole facility deals with memory care patients. They're all memory care at different stages. The entire facility is open. It's very bright, and their rooms are large. The residents have the ability to walk around the entire facility, and it's very secure. I felt very secure about that. They have crafts and exercises. They have a library. They have trips that they go on (like ice cream and things), but it's kind of restricted right now. They have a hairdresser that comes in. My mother-in-law had her hair done yesterday. The dining facility is very nice. It's very large and open. They're very attentive when they're eating, which is also very important. It's worth paying more to feel secure.

I liked what I've seen at Pearl at Fort Mill. It looks like the residents are happy and content. It's got spacious rooms and the facilities look pleasant. So, that's really what I was looking for. More importantly, it's close to my house, so I can go there on a regular basis. Their menu looks varied too. If you don't like what food they have, there's an alternative. The staff I met seemed to be dedicated to their work, and the place looks like it was well cared for. The rooms were nice, well furnished, good bathrooms, and I really didn't find anything I didn't like.

Thank you all so very much for your care and support over the past few months. The love and care you provided my mother made such a difference to all of us. I knew mother was being taken care of in a loving and dafe place. I am not sure i would have made it through these last few months without all your support. Please know you are all living angels.

Autumn Leaves of Fort Mill has a lot of programming each day. The place itself is very light with wide corridors. It is a very good size community for just 50 people. There are two separate dining rooms and there are a lot of auxiliary rooms. My wife and I will be able to move into what they call a companion suite, although relatively small, it offers two rooms, so it seems very nice. They have a good schedule of activities. There were people kicking a ball around and doing trivia.
