My sister is at a nursing facility at Kent Regency Center. She's doing long-term there right now, and she seems to feel comfortable there. She needs some care to be able to take her medications regularly. She is not in the best physical shape, but she is capable of participating in activities and things like that, so she felt comfortable there because of the location, and it is easy access to visit. The care has been very good. The communication has been good, and as long as that continues, we're OK to stay then. The place is clean. The food is basically good. My sister doesn't complain too much, and when she does complain, they're very attentive to the complaints. I just think they're understaffed, and sometimes it can be a little bit trying because they can't maybe get showers as often as they would like to. But that happens everywhere in the medical field right now - the understaffing. All the people that work there have been very nice and very pleasant. No real issues with people. She seems to eat all her meals, but sometimes it's cold or something like that. They do have activities. They have games, bingo, and they have like somebody come around to paint their fingernails. They let them make beads and stuff like that, and she likes to participate. The upkeep is good. The rooms are small. I think the rooms could be bigger because they have roommates, so it is kind of small, but it is pretty much kept up very nice.

My husband was at Kent Regency for about 3 weeks. They had a COVID outbreak, which can happen, but during that time the care was way below par. My husband lost 23 pounds in 3 weeks and apparently it wasn't recorded or told to me. When he left, the next setting discovered a necrosis on his foot as well as an infected blister, neither treated or shown to me. He has was diagnosed with walking pneumonia, which again wasn't picked up by the staff. Finally, he didn't get a shower for 8 days where the protocol there is 2X a week. It was a terrible expereince for him.

This place is awful. My dad was there for rehab to help him walk and within three weeks he ended up passing away. They neglected his health care. They would just sit him in a wheelchair and leave him there for the day. He had been released from the hospital for pneumonia and when he got there, they changed the medication he was on and never bothered to have a doctor or nurse practitioner check on him. They didn't give him any medication for a uti until after a week. They never contacted the family about any medical issues. We show and find out he has congestive heart failure (so thankful for the respiratory therapist) and when he couldn't breathe, they fail to notify us that he was on oxygen. We went pulled him out of there and transferred him to Kent County Hospital where he later passed away due to sepsis, blood infection, and pneumonia. He had only gone there just to strengthen his legs and ended up losing his life. Please do not send your loved ones there We would visit every day and question things regarding him, and they would just blow us off by saying he's old and this is what happens with the elderly

If I could rate lower than a one I would . The nurses are rude and condescending. When I asked to speak to someone about my mother's care what appeared to be a nurse from overnights acted if I were bothering her and said they were doing report. I waited about a half hour and asked again and was told they would let the nurse know. After another hour of waiting I got fed up and went looking for the nurse. She somewhat answered my questions but was in a hurry to move on. While I sympathize to how busy it can be in a nursing home there is common human decency and these people seem to be lacking it in spades

Dirty, understaffed and neglectful to the patients in short term care. My mother lost 10 lbs in her 30 day rehab stay. I visited daily to find her covered in urine, feces and bruises. I have filed a report with the Warwick police department about her clothing being torn. It is currently under investigation. I believe she was a target for abuse because she has Alzheimer's disease. I have since moved her to a safer facility.

My mom is in Kent Regency for rehab. It's kind of challenging because you can't go in there, so I'm just communicating with them the best that I can. So far, so good, and they got her up now. It's just a challenging time. They get back to you, it's just taking a little time, but they seem very nice, and I think everybody's doing the best that they can. The only thing they have that's different from the other places is it's all one floor, so you can actually go up to the window where your person is, and you can see them in the window and talk to them, which is really nice.

My mother is in Kent Regency Center because we had a good experience with them. It's a good place, and the staff is good. They have facilities like a hairdresser, a schedule for bingo, and things of that nature. The people are very nice, and when you walk in they greet you. The rooms are also very nice. We're paying through Medicare.
