After my father broke his knee he was place at this facility. He was there for a few weeks started PT but still was unable to walk. I received a call that he had fell in his room and ambulance came to bring him to hospital and of course they say no one was there to witness. How he fell when he couldn’t walk doesn’t make much sense. He broke his hip (not on same leg as knee). After 24 hrs in hospital repairing hip he passed away. My sister and I went to get his belongings and asked where is cash was that was in lock box?? They didn’t know where it went. He certainly didn’t have it on him. After numerous calls to this facility about it we are transferred to voicemail. We have left so many messages and nothing. It’s sad that they have no empathy to our family to even call us back. Forget the money it’s the point that someone took money from a dead person and they have no decency to return calls.

Very disappointed from the start. My parent spent their first 20 hours in bed which is the worst thing for someone who has had hip surgery. Then they did not have someplace to sit in their room. PT and OT were both very good. Food was horrendous, cold, soggy, etc. This could be greatly improved. I understand the need for COVID screening, but they do not make it easy on their visitors. The front staff was unaccommodating and will not do testing until their ready despite when a visitor shows up, even an elderly one. Then they make you wait outside but provide nothing comfortable to sit in. Bottom line, very disappointed. I would not recommend it at all.

A dear friend is 5 weeks post-op from brain surgery and has been at Greenwood for the past two weeks. He's had a severe UTI with horrible symptoms that have been largely ignored by the staff. I took him to his GP, who sent him straight to RI Hosp and insisted he *never* go back. They should be shut down.

If I had to place another loved one in a skilled nursing facility, I would definitely go elsewhere. I found the communication, care, and attentiveness on the part of the staff to be subpar, and social activities lacking. Also, the bedrooms are small, especially for two people.

I highly do not recommend this facility my mother loved this place loved bingo walking the halls talking to people, unfortunately she had a accident in her room had surgery was back there within a week she ended up back to hospital in worse shape passed away few weeks later. Once she needed more care they did not want to be bothered. So all I can say is if you choose this place for your parents spend every moment you can with them might be your last

My Mother was a multi-year resident at Greenwood Center (it's new name under corporate parent Genesis HealthCare). I do not recommend this facility. There are a number of issues. While a few of the staff (Nurses and CNAs) are very good, caring, and kind; many more are uncaring and cold towards the residents. They act like they do not want to be working there. They do not consider how loved the residents are by their family's, they should be treating residents like one of their own family. While they claim to check residents every 2 hours I have witnessed MUCH longer intervals. An incontinent resident will stay wet/soiled for a very long time. Note this depends on the staff on duty, sometimes residents are checked properly, but this is not typical. English is a second language for much of the staff and communication can be difficult. Food quality is inconsistent. Staffing is inadequate. This is a Union shop (large corporation with many nursing homes). Management has a difficult time getting rid of poor workers, the union protects them at the expense of care quality. Even some of the management does not seem to care about quality of care.

My grandmother was in this place it is absolutely horrible!!!! The cna's are the most uncaring people! They are lazy and just don't care about the patients none of them speak English which makes it very hard to communicate. The last few days before my grandma passed she clearly stated she did not want to be alone it think she was afraid of the staff! Unfortunately she passed in this facility we were there. All and all none of these people care about the patients she had two good nurses and that was it. I am very sad she was afraid and had to spend her last days here! I would not leave my dog in this facility never mind a human!

My mother-in-law ended getting very sick and ended up in Greenwood Care and Rehab. Every time we visited, it's clean. It doesn't smell. It took awhile for her to get used to being there, but now that she's there, she is very happy. It's very nice. They seem to be very caring. They're very respectful of her. She is well fed. The residents look good. There are lots for her to do there.

The care is less than desirable. The food is served cold and the staff just drops it on a table and walks out without consideration of the elderly patients that need additional help eating. Laundry is not done on a consistent basis. This is not a good place to bring a loved one.
