Steere House was very good. My dad stayed there for a few weeks when he broke his back. They rehabilitated him and actually got his back healed. It was quite good. Everything about this place was good. My husband had been there as well in February. He liked it a lot, too. The staff wasn't quite as warm as others, but overall, it was quite good. The food was also good and the way they serve in the dining room was good. They had nice activities and entertainment. Most of the staff members were nice but a couple could be a little negative. My father and my husband wanted to get up and move around, but they wanted them to stay still. The level of care was quite good. The rooms were very nice. They had different setup. One bathroom was shared but the rooms were almost private. Even though they're small, the way they're situated, you have a lot of privacy, which is very nice.

My mother’s basic care is not being meet!! They don’t change her diaper and she her clothes are often saturated! They double diaper her also!! I find her wearing the same clothes the next day! She has lost about 20 pounds since she’s been there! I go through n several times a week to feed her myself! She still loves to eat but she sleeps through meals I feel from over medicating. If she doesn’t eat they take the tray away and say she wasn’t hungry!! This is just beyond inhumane!! That is why I bring in food for her. I can’t imagine how much she would weigh if I didn’t do this! Her feet show the lack of care!! I have also arrived with her walking barefoot in the halls. The bottom of her feet have bleeding cracks!! I have been soaking her feet and putting ointment on them to try to help her. Some of the CNA’s are nice but others are downright mean! I caught one of them yelling at one of the residents in the memory floor!! Really!! I thought it was abusive!! Some of them are vindictive!! Getting my loved one out of this place!

Steere House Rehab was an amazing facility for short term care! Sharon in PT and her team are simply awesome! So very dedicated and committed to the patient! The CNA staff is outstanding especially Charmainne, Moses and Amy! Always so positive with a smile, nothing is too small for their attention! If you need short term rehab I recommend Steere House Rehab as exemplary!

We were told this was the best Nursing Home in RI for Alzheimer's patients, and were incredibly disappointed. There were only 3-4 CNA's on the 3rd floor unit that were kind and compassionate. The charge nurses were terrible. They were rude to our family on so many levels. Not enough staff, no matter the day. Our mother had bruises on her several times. On many occasions would show up in the morning and would catch them talking about the patients so disrespectfully! could not believe it. It was heartbreaking to know that this is how they treated the patients. They would leave our mother in her diaper for over an hour or 90 minutes sometimes when we asked them to change her. This is unacceptable! Her room did not look like the floors were cleaned in months. Her bathroom was not that clean as well, and the furniture was old and broken. The staff has a lot to learn about how to treat family members with loved ones who are suffering and dying. Will NEVER ever refer anyone to the nursing home.

The staff is incredibly compassionate and professional. The TCU nurses doted on my mother during her time there. Anna was especially fantastic (per my mom). The facility was exceptional and very hygienic. A BIG THANK YOU to JAY, KELLY, and ANDREA in the OT/PT department.

Steere House Nursing is clean and everybody there seem nice. I visited my friend's uncle and they seem satisfied with the service. Although I think the facility could improve on their housekeeping more.
