Saint Elizabeth Home was on the cutting edge of nursing care to make the place feel more like home. There was a full working regular home-style kitchen in the center. If they're doing well enough, they can cook for themselves and get coffee any time of the day. They have their own food in their refrigerator, their own room, and own bathroom. It didn’t have the heavy-handedness of a nursing care, and it didn’t have a central nursing desk. It very much did not look like a hospital. Each room had the contraptions installed along the ceiling that can help lift people who can't get in and out of wheelchairs themselves, and there were call buttons everywhere. There were two CNAs for each house and one or two nursing staff for all five houses. It was a full-service nursing care but felt much more like a home, and it was very new.

Well, I have to say I am very disappointed with the care my husband received. They claim to be able care for memory challenged elders. Many issues arise with this illness, yet they only want elders who are quite and non combative in any stage of the illness. They have a doctor on staff who only prescribes medication but doesnt work with the family to adjust and find best combination to give the resident with the best quality of life possible with dementia. So the end results are they dump the residents that are a challenge to them. The resident doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. I put my total trust in this facility that was my misstake. My husband has lost a lot from being sent out 3 timeS to a geriatric physicatric unit. Shame on them.
