Rooms are filthy look they have not been washed in weeks, my shoes actually stuck as I walked around, I am taking my loved one out of this place and recommend you don’t bring yours in. Nursing staff does not pay attention I just heard they have mice running through out they can’t control

This took me a very long time to write this review but I felt I needed to say some things about my mothers days at this facility. Riverview Health Care Center in Coventry, RI. Whenever there was an issue with the care for my mom, we were told, sorry but we are understaffed. That is what we heard every day. If this was the case, then why would they keep taking in new patients and filling the rooms. We would have taken her to another facility that could give her the care she and so many others deserve. I can only write a few of the issues since there were so many. She was left unattended for long periods and ended up falling then left on the floor until someone would finally see her. She was left in her soiled clothes which then irritated her bed sores. Her feet were so swollen because they would not allow her to recline even while family members were there to watch her. We were ignored by the nurse on a daily basis. We never got updates on my mom. It was as though we were a bother. We wanted to be with our mom during her final hours and hoped that the facility and hospice would call us to be there. This did not happen. I would not recommend this facility for your loved one.

Stay far, far away!!!! This used to be a good place until Marquis took over. They used to have good nurses and CNA's who acutally cared about the residents, but now they rely mostly on agency that don't care about the residents at all. Residents left unattended for more than 6 hours in their own waste. Filthy rooms. Mice infestations in residents' rooms. Old linens like sandpaper. Food looks like slop. They still have a few good people, but I expect more to jump ship. ZERO STARS

We are very happy with Riverview other than the cost. It is extremely expensive. I have no complaints. They are way on top of things. Anytime anything happens there at all -- even relatively minor -- my wife gets a call. She is right on top on what is going on over there, and my father likes it. My father doesn't take parts into any of the activities. He's 92 years old, and most of the people on the floor he is on are more out of it than he is. As far as socialization, he just doesn't get enough. As a matter of fact, a couple of my wife's other relatives have been there, so we are very familiar with the place.
