The room they put my mother is was horrible. The walls had holes and scrapes, the walls and floors were filthy. My brother spent 3 hours cleaning it with sani tary wipes. The nurses ignored you when you talked to them. They might attend to the patient to try to appease you but then left dirty linens or clothes lay on furniture or the floor. This is really not where you want to send your loved one!

DO NOT send anyone there. This is the worst place for anyone. They do not take care of people, the food is always cold, and they don't come when you ring the bell. They are mean to you as a loved one and the person in the facility. It smells like urine everywhere. Whatever you do, do anything to can to keep your loved one out. Be cautious before sending a loved one there. I have medical POA and the staff doesn’t listen to anything I request for my dying grandmother. It smells like pee throughout the building. I have witnessed them be rude to me and let my grandmother lay in bed wet for hours until I got there. No one returns calls. They don’t help her eat - she’s blind so she’s not getting any food if her family isn’t there. When I ask for records they get annoyed. This is completely unacceptable. We had to have a police officer in there with us already. Today I heard on two occasions nurses telling two patients to shut up. I will be reporting to DOH.

When you check in your loved one you are told that they don't want to hear any complaints about their nurses and if you're not happy with the care your loved one is receiving then you are free to take them home. They let you know right from the start a) they don't care, b) that they're incompetent, and c) there's nothing you can do about it. And they should be ashamed of themselves for the food they serve to the residents. They cook a completely different menu for the nurses and staff which is quite tasty. And of course they'll say the residents have dietary restrictions etc ...

Manor Care Kingston Court is a nice clean facility with a friendly staff. Upon entering the facility you are greeted by secretary at the front desk who is able to direct you to where you need to go in the facility and help with your various needs. For new patients your immediately greeted by management of the facility and taken to your room where they provide anything you need to get settled in. The doctors, nurses, and other care takers are all very friend and do their jobs as described. The facility is very clean besides a few occasional smells which are expected to be found at every facility from time to time. The food appears average in both presentation and taste as described by the varios residents who live there. There are also several activites provided everyday to keep residents active and entertained. Downside is that you share a room with another resident and there is limited private time with your family when they visit. Overall the facility is just above standard compared to other facilities.
