My wife and I are living at Sanatoga Court. It's generally good. They're taking care of my wife in memory care, and they're allowing me to have a separate room. The food is adequate. We're getting pretty good service for what we're paying. We're in lockdown right now, we can't go anywhere, nobody can come and see us, and we can't have visitors. We can't leave except for doctors' visits and the hairdressers. They're keeping us safe. The COVID is staying out of this place because of the kind of iron fist that they're using. They make sure masks are worn, no dining rooms, and you eat in your room. The staff is very compassionate and adequate. They're there when you call them, and they're there every day. There's nursing staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The staff members are the same people. There are a few new ones, but they are good. There are a lot of young ones in training. They're doing a good job. This is good value for the money. They're using me as a second person, so that makes it a nice package because they charge a lot for memory care. The smaller charge is for me as a second person, but the second person gets his own room, and that we couldn't find anywhere. This campus has two or three buildings that handle your level of care. I've been to their rehab as well.

The rooms are basic 2 twin-bed rooms with a dresser and night stand for each patient and a bathroom. There is a tv and phone for each patient. Be aware that each phone call in or out costs a small fee and the tv has a price per patient each day. We were not made aware of that when my Dad arrived. We learned about that from some of the patients. I hear a lot of complaints about the food from the residents on the 2nd floor. It's too cold, not cooked enough, meat is tasteless. Most meals are 1/2 hr to 1 hr or more late getting to everyone on the 2nd floor. Sometimes the kitchen runs out of items before getting the food to them. The aides are usually scarce for help. Every day I need to find someone to help my Dad with something. I see and hear family members for other residents also asking for help. They are on their cell phones all the time instead of working. Some even go to a hall that isn't busy with people and sit for a few minutes to text or talk on their phones. The cleanliness is mediocre. They try to clean up regularly, however, they could use more on staff to help. The nurses on staff are GREAT! They are hard workers and quick moving. They have a large amount of patients to take care of. There are usually only 2 on staff at a time and very friendly. Always available to discuss concerns about your family member. My Dad was there for rehab after a car accident. He was given PT and OT every day, 5 days a week, for 6 weeks. I have to say that with family and friends encouraging him to do his therapy, the therapist had him up and walking on his own in 5 weeks. He was ready to go home by the 6th week.

We liked Sanatoga Court because of its convenient location and the people seemed friendly. It was on the smaller side, but it's well kept. They have a library, activities for the residents, laundry, and a shuttle to take them to doctor's appointments.
