My mom moved into New Hope Gracious Personal Care. The facility is very clean and beautiful. The food is good. My mom can be picky, and she's not complained about the food, so I take that as good. Most of the staff members are nice. The residents can go to an area for like stretching or some exercise, but I can't stay to watch, help my mom, or anything else. They say that you're not allowed where they eat, and you're not allowed for activities. My mom's room is semi-private. There are two residents in there, and there's just enough room to stay.

My friend was at New Hope Gracious Personal Care. I can tell you that when I took her there, I was very, very happy with the accommodations and everything. As far as the accommodations, I'm sure they tried their very best. They started saying that her mind was going, and she was having accidents. In fact, they said she went outside one day. I have no proof of that. She never acted like that when she was at home. The people there were very, very nice. My friend told me that the meals were pretty good. They had bingo when I was there, and it seemed like they were having a nice time. Her bedroom was very clean. She didn't have a shower in hers, but the shower was right outside of her room. She had a private bath, and it was for two people in that room.

New Hope Gracious Personal Care was very, very nice. The whole facility was great and very well-kept. The people that we met were all wonderful. The dining area was very pleasant and welcoming. It makes you feel at home. They have a salon, an activity room, as well as a little workout area to get everybody moving. So, there's a lot of opportunities to be involved.

My mother is in a temporary place for respite right now at New Hope Gracious Personal Care. It has to be a minimum of one month. It's not a complete nursing home. There's someone there for physical therapy and so on. She's happy there. It's a very nice facility. There are a lot of people that are there permanently, and some that are there for short term, when you need a month or two to heal, that type of thing. They seem a little shorthanded like everyone is right now, but they've been nice. They have meals, and she seems happy with that. I have not seen her, but she has participated in some activities. She was there before and she was willing to go back.

New Hope Gracious Personal Care was very pretty, it was very homey, it was friendly and warm. That's my choice for my mom. Everybody was just friendly and they seemed caring and looking out they were all visible. They were all around taking care of the people and talking to the people like they knew them. It's a very nice place. They have a large variety of activities. They have a community room and they were doing an ice cream social for October birthdays, and they were preparing for it. When they have their meals, they make sure the residents get out of their rooms and go to the dining room for the meals, and they're up and dressed. They had a whole calendar full of different activities and different menus. They're very warm and cozy. They had a small library and a salon. They had beautiful gardens, they had three different outside areas, and they had areas set up for playing cards. They had a few different areas for family members, or for people visiting, or for them to congregate. There wasn't just one room, there were several. It was very nice and it was less money than the other place I visited, too.

We placed my mom in New Hope Gracious Living. I've never actually seen it because of COVID, but they are really nice. The staff goes out of their way for my mom. They're very helpful, and they're really nice. Anytime I have a question about anything I can always get through to somebody that I need to talk to, e.g., from the manager all the way to the med techs that work on the floors. Some of the people that I have met, they have just all been really, really nice, nice girls. My mom likes the food there. Sometimes they have things that she doesn't like, but for the most part she is much happier with meals there than she had been in some of the nursing homes. During the virtual tour it looked beautiful. They have a courtyard outside where they are allowing outside visiting for family. We're six feet apart, but they have a table and chairs and everything set up in the courtyard and you can schedule visits. They bring her outside. We can sit and we can talk. The courtyard is beautiful. It's some place you definitely want to be. If it was your backyard, you would be there often. They have a huge porch on the side of the building. I haven't seen it up close, but there's always people sitting outside. They offer places for the residents to go to be outside as well.

The wife of a minister friend of ours who helped people find a new home in Pittsburgh area senior citizen communities, personal care homes, and nursing homes recommended that we visit three personal care homes for my mother in May of 2015. Our favorite was New Hope Gracious Personal Care. What a wonderful experience for Mom and all of her family with her 4 year stay there until she passed away this year. I cannot say enough about the owners, nursing staff, kitchen staff, care staff, and cleaning staff. It is a very clean facility with nice rooms, good food, and a caring and loving staff. We could not have done better than New Hope. Outside professional medical staff visit Hew Hope often, there is an in-house nursing office, both occupational and physical therapy are available, a wonderful recreation director is there daily offering bingo, card games, current sporting event parties, visiting music groups perform, movies are offered on a large screen TV and and both Catholic and Protestant services are available. There is also a nice beauty shop, manicures are offered, and there is good fellowship all around. You won't be sorry that you toured New Hope. The location is central to all of the North Hills and parking is convenient.

New Hope Personal Care was beautiful, bright, and cheery. The rooms were a very nice size, and it was probably the most reasonably priced for a private room. The staff seemed to be very caring individuals who were very busy. Activities were going on while we were there, and the residents seemed to be having a good time. The menu looked very good.

I visited New Hope, and I really like it. Aside from assisted living, they also have memory care there. The facility was nicely appointed. It was more home-like and not as sterile. It was very comfortable-looking. The residents seemed very happy. They were very active. They played games. They seemed to have plenty of caregivers too, so that's what I like about it.
