I moved my sister in to Ridgecrest in McCandless a week ago. We looked at a studio and two different one bedroom suites. She chose a one bedroom. The high ceilings give an open and bright illusion. The windows open enough to let in fresh air and her unit has a balcony. The kitchen is amazingly complete with a ton of storage! The community atmosphere is so positive and welcoming. The whole staff has been very professional and welcoming. I ate dinner with her last night and was amazed at how good the food was and the amount of choices. It seems like a resort when you walk in but as you go around there are homey areas that invite you to sit and visit or read a book. They also offer opportunities to swim, exercise, and just "play". Daily activities are posted in the elevators. And the maintenance staff keep it immaculate! They have a great "ambassador" program so each resident has someone to help them meet others and feel at home.

It was very nice. It was like going into a resort. Everything was very open and spacious. You didn't feel like you were cramped like in some nursing homes. The tour guide was very nice and the rooms were what I'd expected. They seemed spacious enough, all brand new, and they were very nice. The staff was very knowledgeable and she was fairly new, but I think she did a good job for only being there for a little while. It's a beautiful facility. It's a fairly new facility. It's not been opened all that long. They're not full yet, but everything that they told me in the brochure that I received, I was very impressed. If you're looking at some care facilities, it was a very nice one to look at.

We chose them for my mom because it was new, and it is close. Mainly its location and the size of the units are nice. They have an option to have a kitchen, and the balcony is nice. As far as the care is concerned, they have it 24/7. The staff was friendly and acknowledged us. They were just trying to be helpful. The amenities were very nice. They have a pool, a workout room, and she could have her therapy there. The restaurants were nice. They were taking the proper precautions for Covid, and that was important. They have flexibility; we could come and go. It is very nice, and it is also very new. As far as its attractiveness, it is a five. I do not know about the care because it is so new. I would actually love to talk to some of the residents. I would like hear from people who are actually living there, what they think about it. First impression was very nice. We really have no negative experience. It was all positive.
