The rooms are nice and furniture needs to be updated. Also rooms need chairs for visitors to sit in. The bad thing about this facility is that patients clothing, slippers, and other belongings disappear. Then you are told that it's probably someone who wonders into other patients rooms. Brand new slippers disappeared from my brother's room while he was in the hospital. Also, I never heard of a nursing facility receiving donated clothing, slippers, shoes that are slightly used and they were willing to give these items to patients. I have heard of facilities receiving NEW ITEMS for patients, but not used. The patients clothing must be marked with their names on and they still disappear. Also medications are stopped and doctors instructions aren't always followed.

This facility lacks compassion care for its patients and their family members. While asking for a bath for my relative the c n a told us to wait they promised another resident a smoke outside. while visiting a family member a nurse was rude and stated to me are you done here. If they can not handle the resident the transport them out to another facility. The staff lies!! I wouldn't put an animal there. The state has been contacted. If you love yourself or relative do not use this facility. Id live on the streets first. You would find more compassion there. If I could I would give them a half of a star!!!! the food is horrible dog food looks better.

Don't listen to the naysayers. Towne Manor West is the tops. They staff well, the food is good, they use the best supplies. The care is excellent. To the complainers: if you don't like it, go to somewhere else. There is a waiting list to get into TMW.

This facility lacks compassion professionalism the residents are not treated with dignity or respect from the nurses aides the nurses aides are very disrespectful they walk around on their cell phone they go in the residents rooms talking on cell phones or listening to music nurses distribute medication while talking on cell phone the facility is not clean I have witnessed roaches crawling on the walls on the floor the food is horrible the portion are extremely small he did not get what you ask for if you ask for anything extra you are told that they do not have it I personally have witnessed nurses giving medication to give to residents because the nurse told the CNA this resident does not like me so can you please give him/her their medicine call bells are not answered in a timely fashion I have witnessed myself call Bell on for 3 hours nothing gets done about this when it is reported to the supervisors I have witnessed CNAs sleeping during the day on the job while they are supposed to be watching people who are fall risk if they are not sleeping they are on their cell phones not paying attention to what is going on in that room I have witnessed nurses supervisors and CNAs ignore resident that are sitting right there in front of their face crying out for help and they just sit there and do nothing this is a poor excuse for a nursing facility I can honestly say their therapy department has a very good team but mind you they are contracted and not apart Towne Manor West facility the housekeeping department is horrible they do not clean properly when it is reported their supervisor does nothing about it rooms not cleaned for 5 days at a time don't get me wrong there is only and I say only a handful of staff that are very good helpful and show compassion...... I know all of this because I was there for several months for therapy I do not recommend this facility for anyone to put their family member here

Was there tonight and witnessed a patient fall right out of her wheelchair , the nurse could not pick patient up so she was on the floor for a good fifteen minutes before anyone picked her up ! After she was put back in wheel chair not one nurse checked her out to make sure she was ok ! She was just pushed up to a table and was not looked at! Later her family came to visit and they were not told about her fall , my cousin went up to the family and let them know what happened , after family made a fit about her fall she was than looked at by a nurse! My grandmother is at this home and im scared for my grandmother's life, like what if that lady had a concussion from falling and hitting her head and they just pushed her to a table and she was left like are you kidding me! Also a little old lady was saying for like an hour she had to go to bathroom while an aid sat on her phone ignoring her! Something needs to be done about this nursing home! I will be calling the State tomorrow morning im disguised !

This place lacks clean modern physical therapy equipment. No wipes (towels are used) provided for the aids to clean feces from residents. Out dated, dirty therapy equipment. Therapist in charge lacks compassion, understanding and insight into what she says adversely affects the resident in the long term. Run don't walk away from this place

Towne Manor was nice, but they were understaffed to meet my father’s needs. He had dementia. They have mostly women on staff and they cannot handle him. He suffered a fall and ended up in the hospital twice because of that. He needs to be fed, but they were so understaffed they can’t feed him and would just place the tray in front of him. It looked like a well-kept community and the rooms were clean.

I visited this facility to meet with a man seeking help from an outside agency for personal care assistance. This gentleman way laying in a diaper with not even a blanket over him and didn't at first seem embarrassed. It was obvious he had all his faculties and was very bright, and after he felt comfortable with me he opened up. He said staff just ignores you "you loose dignity and feel hopeless"! He then pointed to the wall his bed was directly against and said...would you like to be next to something this dirty? I asked if he could get out of bed at all and he said "perhaps if someone would ever answer any of my calls or care enough to come in and check on me." I personally asked for someone to come in during the time I was there, and no one responded. The facility seems to be missing the major meaning of "care giving", and there is little done to show the person respect and hope. I experienced apathy!
