The facility is clean and beautiful and the nurses are caring and excellent! All procedures for medical issues and needs are followed perfectly. The nurses really take the time and sometimes their own personal money to spoil the residents. All the people there are clean, happy, friendly and classy. It really is more of a hotel stay than an assisted living facility. There are concerts, bus trips, community sales and shopping, which keep everyone on campus happy. It really is a first class experience all the way. My grandmother and my poppop gave all of their money to the independent apartments first, so it is a comfort that the Brethren Home's policy is to never kick a resident out for lack of funds. There are wonderful events and activities for her. We really like the doctors and services for rehab. I will say that they continually move her around and switch rooms, which I feel is very detrimental to her dementia, although they disagree. I even got the department of aging involved in order to see what her legal rights are, as far as the marketing people shifting residents around to make room for paying customers. That experience was extremely frustrating and wrong on their part.
