Willow Heights is a nice facility under excellent mangement. My mother resided there for a year. I, and my siblings, are very happy with her treatment there. The entire staff at Willow Heights was oustanding. The facility was built in 2003, so it is a newer construction. Heritage Valley Hospital owns The Willows complex and Heritage Valley-Kennedy Hospital is just across the street. Another plus is Dr. Elena G. who practices family medicine at Heritage Valley-Kennedy. She is a very fine doctor with a great deal of experience. The quality of the food at Willow Heights is a personal judgement. I noticed they provide a healthy selection at meals. And, my mother enjoyed the food there.

I toured Willow Heights Independent Living and I had a very kind and nice person to tour me around. His first name was John. He explained everything to me in detail. It was a little bit too small for me, but I believe I'm still going to go there if I can get a two-bedroom because I have a lot of stuff in my home. I want to be able to take some of the things that I want to use in there. It's in the area that I like, and the people were very kind and very nice. Maintenance is very good, very good. I visited independent living and I did not see any activity. The pandemic was so bad at that time, and they weren't having people be around other people there.

Willow Heights was not a good match for my in-laws. It was too small. The food was horrendous too. It was horrible. The facility itself was very small. The apartment looked very pretty. It was a beautiful apartment. It has very high ceiling, it’s new, and it has granite kitchen countertop and nice new cabinets. It’s very aesthetically pleasing. The person that took us was the director in the kitchen because the person that normally does it was not available or wasn’t there that day, so she took us. She was fine. She did a perfectly fine job. There were not many activities. We did not observe anything. The dining area was nice and clean, but the food was not good. For our purposes, it was a 1 because it did not meet any of the criteria we were looking for. It is unfortunate because it is a new facility, but it didn’t meet our needs.

We went to Willow Heights and loved it. The reason we really liked it was because everybody was so friendly, and the place looked clean. It had a homey feel to it, and there was the option down the road to go into assisted living. My cousin was ready to put his money down that day. The community was so clean and so beautiful. They said they had breakfast and dinner included, plus extra things if he was going to need a little bit more support. They also had a little library to go to and read books and activities every day, so there’s no way that you could get bored there. My cousin really liked that because he has been in a house by himself and that is not fun at all.

Willow Heights is beautiful but too expensive for my in-laws. It's gorgeous and had antique furniture. It was very posh and costs very posh. The apartment was beautiful. The staff that we met were very nice. They had a gym and did different activities.

Willow Heights was very nice. It was a little more expensive than the other facility I visited. The rooms were OK. The staff was very helpful.

My Mother moved into the Willow Heights apartments in the Fall of 2012. She has been able to maintain an independent lifestyle with the support of the Willows staff, services, and amenities.. From the receptionist at the front desk to the housekeepers cleaning the rooms, personalized service is a top priority. Everyone greets her by name with a smile and some friendly conversation. Mom has made several new friends. She enjoys many of the planned activities and dining functions which help to keep her busy and active. The Willow Heights is truly a “home away from home”. And the best part is I have peace of mind knowing my Mother has found a safe, secure, and active community to spend her senior life.

The Willows has been a God sent for me and my Mother. She lived with me prior to her move to Willow Heights Independent Living Community. My Mother as always a very social person having worked in Retail for many years. She missed interacting with the public when she came to live with me. We were both in a rut watching too much TV and becoming depressed. Since moving to the Willows my Mom as blossomed again into the social lady she once was. She has a social life once again, She loves the activities and the outings that the Willows provide. They have given me peace of mind knowing she is happy and not alone. The staff and residents are so friendly and have become her extended family.

I can’t say enough about the Willows. My mother first came to Willow Lane after a lengthy hospital stay. She was very ill and weak and we thought she would remain in Senior Living. With the help and encouragement of a kind and caring staff at Willow Lane, my mother’s health improved and she was able to transition to the Willows Independent Living community. The continuity of having the same staff throughout the communities is a plus. My mother knows the staff and feels comfortable. The meals are wonderful and there are plenty of activities and outings, which allow mom, still remain independent. I couldn’t find a better place for mom than the Willows and I tell everyone that is looking for a community that the “Willows has something for everyone”.
