We moved our mom into Brookdale 1 math ago. We started with a list of 20 places in the area, narrowed it to six, then 2. Brookdale was a CLEAR winner. Although she was nervous and VERY apprehensive about leaving the home she lived in for 50 years, she is now truly is like a new woman; walking around confidently, welcoming new residents to the community, and keeping herself engaged every day!

I toured Brookdale Mt. Lebanon. It was a nice environment. It was open. It was bright. It was clean. Everybody seemed happy and friendly. They have activities like puzzles, rummy cube, and bowling Wii competitions. They have a movie night. They had Irish dancers in. So, it looked like there were plenty of opportunities for seniors to participate in activities. The rooms were nice. The ones that they were updating they're pretty nice rooms. The balconies are small, but I think the larger two-bedroom apartments were pretty nice. The person who assisted me during the tour was wonderful. She's very helpful and answered all of our questions.

The first impression I had of Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was that it was a quietly cheerful place. The staff was cheerful and the residents were cheerful. There are nearly 200 residents there. They have little dogs on leashes. I hear there are cats. The place is furnished in a way that is comfortable and safe for seniors who have physical difficulties, as I do. As things go, the cost is moderate, considering the highs and the lows of this line of business. I only interacted with two people and they were competent. There's just a relaxed, contented quality about the whole place and everybody that I met and they invited us to come back to try their meals. We saw two studio apartments. One was much smaller than the other. I loved the small one, and that's the one we're still talking about. I did not see a list of activities, but I didn't need to. From what we walked around and saw, there is a little bit of everything.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very attractive. It was very clean and modern-looking. The staff said that the assisted living part had 60 people and the independent living part had 200, and that appealed to me. There seemed to be a lot of people who were just retired and living there and didn't have serious issues. They were kind of healthy-looking. The staff said there were numerous bridge games. I saw a nice-looking dining room there. The whole place is very clean-looking. We saw a studio, and it looked very nice. I just had a very positive feeling about it. They had a large library.

I toured Brookdale Mt. Lebanon. The staff were all very nice. I was there twice. The first time I went, the staff showed me an apartment. A couple of days later I called to say I would take it, and she said there was somebody ahead of me. She had me come out again to look at another one. She told me to leave a message with this other person and they would send me around. When I got there, that other person had an appointment that day, although she showed me the room. The room that she showed me was not what I wanted. She showed me a model and that was nice. A couple of days later, the lady called me back and offered me one just like the model for a reduced price, which was a good price, but she just caught me on a day when I wasn't feeling well and I was worried about the money, so I turned the apartment down. The community was nice. They were set up on doing a Kentucky Derby. They have an exercise room and a swimming pool. The dining room was nice. Everything was nice, everything was clean looking, and everything was very, very classy as far as decoration is concerned. The rooms were all nice, but I did not care for the studios. Their studios would be a little bit cheaper, but the one the staff showed me wasn't. It was almost the same as the one-bedroom. I didn't try their food, but their chef used to work for Peter's Place. When I was there, the chef was having a meeting with some of the residents. I also saw a few residents walking around, and the few that spoke to me said, I love it here. I liked it.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very nice. The staff and the rooms were very nice. The meals were good and the people were very informative. They even reached out and talked to me twice after that. They were very easy to deal with. They had a lot of activities and a lot of things to do. They had mostly everything I wanted. If I were to choose a place today, that's where I would choose.

We saw Brookdale Mt. Lebanon. There are a lot of residents there, and a nice environment. They were a little higher in price. There are a lot of residents out when we went to visit. The manager there was very nice talking to us, a Lady who showed us around, they had different sized rooms available. When we did take a tour, someone was smoking, and it was one of the things we didn't like. We smell cigarettes in the hallway. My mom wouldn't have been happy in an environment like that because she's not a smoker. It was bright. They didn't seem to offer as much to the residents. They did give us a piece of cake as a gesture, which was nice, and water and some cookies from the dining room. The dining room was clean, and had some selection, but the food variety wasn't as big as the other place, which is why we chose not to go there. The staff was very nice, and the lady was informative. They wanted to be competitive. They tried. They called me and wanted to make a comparison rate. I just didn't care for the environment. They also have the ability for independent living to switch over to assisted living. So the levels of care could have changed over time. That's a nice feature for someone. Independent living was in a very large building and my mom would have been on a seventh floor or something. She wouldn't have been able to get around if the elevator shut down, she wouldn't be able to get down to the first floor.

We looked at Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very recently renovated. It's very pretty. That was the one we saw first. My mom thought it was beautiful. She loved it. It's just she went to the other community because in each apartment, they have a push button and they want every resident to push it by 10 a.m. each morning. It's just making sure everyone's healthy, to check in on everyone. My mom doesn't want to do that, she has her own schedule. There are days that she's a night owl and there are days she doesn't get up until 11 a.m. so she doesn't want to push the button. It's hysterical because they are a beautiful facility, they have everything else that the residents at the other place have. They had a special and were less expensive.

I liked everything about Brookdale Mt. Lebanon. We walked in, it's clean, it's attractive, and the people were pleasant. We went to two different apartments and they are extremely large and have big windows. It was just a nice facility. The staff who gave us the tour was excellent. The facilities were nice, they have a gym, if you need therapy it's on their floor. There's easy access to laundry, the library, the restaurant was nice as you walked down the halls. They weren't dark because every so often there was a balcony with two big doors that brought in a lot of light. We went up to the fifth floor, it was very, very nice.

I liked Brookdale Mt. Lebanon a lot. The only thing I didn't like about it was where it's located. It was kind of a congested area, very city-like, and it was on a main drag. Although it was up and around and kind of tucked around the back, so you weren't directly on the main drag. In order to go anywhere, you have to come down to the main drag, and it was very congested. That was about the only thing, and the price. It seemed that it was kind of high. Brookdale was very nice. I liked it. It had a one-bedroom. What I liked most about it was that it had a full sized kitchen. They offered me food to take home, and it was delicious. They had a pool, which I was really interested in because I like to swim. The other thing I liked is they have a storage area downstairs in the basement (a 5X5 storage area).

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very neat and clean. They have rosary services, church services, bingo, and movie nights. The staff was very helpful, concerned, and very friendly. We tried the food, and it's good too. We were able to see the gardens, the pool room, the social room, the library, and the indoor pool. The rooms were very nice as well.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very nice. It's just a little bit out of my price range. The people there were very pleasant. The staff was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The layout was nice. It's a few levels and that's one thing I'm looking for. The place is also very clean. They have a hair salon and, I believe they have an indoor swimming pool.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very nice. It just wouldn't accommodate my dad, but it was a very nice facility, clean too. The floor plan was really nice. I liked the way the rooms were all off the center hallway and were decorated very nicely. The rooms were a pretty good size, the bathrooms were nice, and a nice size too. We were able to visit their community room where they held activities. I heard that they had a good card-playing group; women get together to play cards. I only met the person that took us on the tour, that's the only staff member I met, and she was very nice.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very nice. There wasn't anything I didn't like about it other than the location and there were a lot of floors. My dad is in a wheelchair, so it would probably be a long distance to the elevators and dining area. Other than that, it was a great place. The person who toured me was very pleasant, very upbeat, and very informative. I liked her a lot. I got a little care package from the tour. It was lovely.

I liked Brookdale Mt. Lebanon a lot. It's a little bit far from my house, so that's the only issue really -- and only if I wanted to stop every day -- but I guess you're not allowed to visit every day right now. It was a fabulous place. I took my brother, who is in his fifties, and he wanted to move there; he loved it. I can't say anything bad about it except COVID, and that's not anybody's fault. It was spotless. It was perfect. It had a lot of grounds they could walk on, and it's really lovely and safe. There are no main roads, and it's probably quiet. It's just beautiful. I could live there. I liked it a lot.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was beautiful, and the people were nice. I saw a room in the independent living that was fully furnished. They gave me all the details and showed me different rooms in assisted living and what they offer in the dining area. The staff I met was very nice; one lady spent almost the whole time with me, and another girl was excellent, gave me all the details, and got back to me. They couldn't have been nicer.

My parents-in-law moved into Brookdale Mt. Lebanon. It's very clean and welcoming. We have had a good experience with all of the staff members. The food is definitely above average and my parents have been satisfied. They have a large lobby and the people socialize there. My husband's mom plays the piano, so especially during Christmastime, the people really enjoys hearing her play Christmas carols. There's a swimming pool and a very small fitness center.

If your loved one is truly independent, this can be a good place to look at. Four out of the five floors are for independent living so if you're looking for a place that your loved one can stay at should independence weaken, you're taking a chance. The sales person was very good. The supplemental support care that our loved one needed in independent living was inconsistent and discussing care issues with the manager was challenging. The food was very good though the dining room got backed up quite a bit at particular times. My advice is to pay attention to the bathroom set up. Most apartments have tubs and it can increasingly can become a challenge for seniors. If you have the $ and your loved one can mainly be on their own, Brookdale is worth a look.

I liked Brookdale Mt. Lebanon the best. It had a pool, and they play cards, which I love. It had everything. It was a self-contained community. I would never have to go outdoors, although the outdoor setting was very nice. I liked it. The staff members I encountered were terrific. Everybody was very pleasant and did their jobs. The grounds were gorgeous. I liked the facility location because I grew up very near there, so I was very familiar with the area. I liked the fact that it was not far from the city. The rooms were nice. They had physical therapy, a card room, a swimming pool, and a little deli area for lunch where people were wandering in and out. I would recommend it. I only had a sandwich at lunch. It was spotless. If I wanted to go downtown, that was easy to do.

Our tour at Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was wonderful and very complete. It's a wonderful place to be if you can afford it. They have lots to do and they seem to take care of their people well. Everybody seems to be entertained and the food situation is wonderful. The people we've dealt with were wonderful. It's a lot larger than most facilities and the apartments are larger.

The rooms at Brookdale Mt. Lebanon are very nice, good-sized rooms. There is enough room for the residents to have a separate area for sleeping or to sit and watch television. There is a kitchen area, and the entire facility is very clean. There seems to be a decent amount of staff walking around. I noticed the chapel and the community room, and they both seemed to be very nice.

My wife moved to Brookdale. It's semi-private, up on a hill and set back from any residential area. For the most part, they are very good. The food is excellent, and they have two dining areas. It's nice, clean, and very professional.

Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was very nice. It reminds you of a college campus. It is a red brick building. It's about 15 to 20 years old. It is high rise mainly, and it has about 150 residents, so it is a bigger facility. The staff was very nice. She's very good. The woman that took us was very knowledgeable and knew more stuff. Their accommodations were excellent. There were a lot of activities. They were watching a movie one time when we were there, and another time somebody was doing a presentation type of thing. They were talking about old movies, which is a good memory type game for the residents. The food was very good. It was excellent. The dining area was very pretty, very elegant, and very nice. Brookdale Mt. Lebanon was the one that we choose. It was very good. It met all of the needs that we were looking for.

I have been to Brookdale for my cousin. It was probably the most beautiful out of all the places I visited. The staff and the people that I spoke with were wonderful. We almost got my cousin in there. It was beautiful, but the cost was the big factor. It was a very nice place, and it had everything anybody would want. They were playing bingo when we were there. They have outings and entertainment on certain days, a beautiful library, a beatiful indoor swimming pool, physical rehab, and a restaurant for the people there, plus a cafeteria where you can have sandwiches for yourself if you don’t want to eat in the dining room. We saw several rooms, and they seemed very nice and a little bit larger than what my cousin has now. It had a very nice little kitchen area and nice bathroom. It was beautiful.

There was nothing we didn’t like about Brookdale. We looked at two different apartment-type rooms that had separate living quarters, bedroom, full kitchen, and nice baths. The rooms were set up a little bit different from each other because we were looking for both of my parents. They were gorgeous, clean, and accommodating. We were OK with the pricing, the room sizes, and closet space. Everything was very nice. The staff was very friendly, very accommodating, and did not pressure us. They hold different events throughout the day and have exercise, so everybody is engaged. They have movie nights, parties, and barbecues, too.

My mother is currently in this Brookdale community. We like it because some of the people there are a little more active. There are more men there, and as a result, it is a more natural environment. It is also close to our family home, so she knows other people there already.
