Moravian Manor was a wonderful facility. My mother was surrounded by loving staff, they were always improving the facility, and it’s just a beautiful location up Lichester Country. We were very pleased with the care that she got there for a long time. They would have bingo and different discussion groups. Once a month or so they would take them outings, and residents would do bowling from their wheelchairs so they would take them on different outings, and the grounds were beautiful. The meals were good, and they had a nice café in the building where you could purchase different items.

We liked Moravian Manor. It was bigger which I did not like as much. They were very friendly. They had three separate groups of homes, cottages, and apartments. The one we were interested in used to be an outside garden nursery. They had not started building it yet, so there was like a 2-year wait for that one. The staff was open to suggestions, and they were very nice. It was old-fashioned and clean.

We didn't find the people at Moravian Manor to be friendly. They had nice single homes, but they were older. They will be doing a new section, but it is at least five years away. I bet that when they do the new section, it is going to be lovely.

I have enjoyed the times I visited Moravian Manor. A dear friend of mine has taken me multiple times to a men's prayer breakfast held in the dining room. I really appreciate seeing older and younger men, working or retired coming together to encourage each other spiritually. Many of my friends' grandparents live at Moravian Manor. This gives the place a real sense of family and community. When I go to visit one person I may end up seeing many other familiar faces. The staff is always friendly and accomodating. They work behind the scenes to make sure every need is met, but at the same time, don't mind stopping to talk and laugh with you.I drive past Moravian Manor all the time and I love to see folks out walking on the sidewalks around the buildings or sitting on benches under the shade of the trees. I think it means a lot to them that the outside of the facilities is just as enjoyable and plesant as the inside. Many other places I've been to don't offer such beautiful surroundings.

My grandmother is currently a resident of this facility. My grandmother recently had a stroke while in their care. The residents called my father right away. They set her up with physical therapy to help her with any damage done during the stroke. When I have been over to visit her everyone calls her by her name. When she stops and introduces me to any of the workers, they always send time asking me questions and pretending it was the first time they met me. I have also witnessed the workers with other residents. I have never seen a worker not address a resident by their name. There is a nurse there who my grandmother always talks about. Apparently this particular nurse spends time with my grandmother and has even played Scrabble with her in the nurse's spare time. I would definitely recommend Moravian Manor to any one searching for a place for their loved ones. The people who work here definitely take the time to know and care for their residents.
