I toured Landis Homes. I like the place. What I didn't like about it was you had to go through a lot of hallways to get to the pool and some of the activities. They have a beautiful gym. What I liked about it was they manned their gym and their pool all the time that it's open. Now, some of these other communities don't. Landis Homes did, and they have a beautiful gym and pool, and they have railroads, trains. I sampled food there. They have three restaurants, too. It's very good. The staff is pleasant.

In the past Landis Homes had an excellent reputation and that is why we invested and moved there in January 2019. On the surface things look good and beautiful. Staff are generally caring and supportive. Amenities are good. We loved it. However within 3 years of moving there the leftist, liberal policies of the CEO, leadership and board became evident. The Black Lives Matter, DEI agenda and Covid propaganda are actively pushed there, causing division and hostility among residents if you don’t agree with the liberal thinking. We moved out in the fall of 2021 knowing we did not want to be in such a place when we became helpless and in healthcare. We are so very grateful we still had funds to be able to leave and managed to recover half of our initial investment. They have since shortened the time to 3 years to recover your investment which pretty well insures you will lose it all should you wish to leave. We would NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. IT IS HORRIBLY EXPENSIVE AND A DISAPPOINTMENT WHEN YOU REALIZE WHAT THEY REALLY ARE!! They are not honest in presenting what and who they really are and even try to deny the facts of what they are doing. The truth is they have gone totally woke. Millersville University is coaching them in implementation of DEI. If that is who you are and what you believe, then move there. If not, then look elsewhere. You are now forewarned.

I'm ready to move into Landis Homes when they have an opening. There is a real sense of community where people could go and there are a lot of activities and events. It's a very well-maintained facility. It's very close to where I wanted to be. The location is important. The person that showed me around was great. She was very friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. There are multiple buildings. It appeared to be extremely clean, neat, and well cared for. They have patios and balconies depending on what you choose. Some have sunrooms. They have a wide variety. They showed me independent living for the most part because that's what I was looking for, but if you need to add assistance, later on, that is available.

Landis Homes was really good. Everything looks relatively new, the whole thing was about 10 years old. There was a farmer with six mules pulling equipment across the street when we were there, which was very fascinating. It had nothing to do with the community but that's the location where it was. They had a nice bistro and everything looked neat and clean. They had good staff members and it was good. They had everything that all others have like good food, a bistro, nice activities, and good health care provider when you need that. We were looking for independent living but they have the whole continuum of care. We didn't dare eat anything there, really, because they didn't have it open because of the COVID business. You could have gone to the bistro, but we weren't there for mealtimes, so we didn't do that. The facilities are beautiful, state-of-the-art and I appreciated the signs in their front yards. It has values that they translate both in action and in verbiage on the front lines in a discreet way so that's nice.

Beautiful, open land. The most contemporary I have visited. Planning Counselor was very understanding and helpful. Got reply quickly to any questions and application.

Landis Homes was a beautiful place. It's in a country, beautifully laid out and warm. You can go from independent to assisted living to personal care. It's just a shame that we couldn't get in.

Landis Homes is where I would really like to live. The staff is very friendly. It's a beautiful place but I probably would not qualify to live there because it's so expensive. I'm interested in their Hybrid Homes apartments and I really like them very much because it's a green building, green construction, and environmentally-friendly. I really liked that idea. And I liked the way it was laid out.

My mother attends this facility and she is very happy with it (even though she was skeptical about it before trying it out). The staff is very caring and the care and activities are exceptional.

Landis Homes provides such a welcoming atmosphere. Very clean and pleasant. You do not feel as though you are walking into an "old folks home." The staff truly cares about each and every resident. The focus at the facility is "person centered care." Each resident is truly treated as an individual. There are many activities for the residents. There is a daycare on site and the residents may interact with the little ones if they wish. There is a fitness trail and plot of land that residents may plant a garden if they wish. They are currently expanding their facility. The facility does have a focus on the Mennonite religion but people of all faiths live at Landis Homes. The food at Landis Homes is pretty good. Overall I would highly recommend Landis Homes. I would chose them as a provider for myself or a loved one
