Rooms are clean staff is great , elevators are inspected per Pa statute code and meals are good coming out of world pandemic and are getting better despite a few selections that no octogenarian would enjoy . After2 years here we see 3 areas needing improvement . 1:update the front door for handicap accessible wheelchairs . 2: hire more staff 3:HIRE a crative cognitive arts director who will stimulate these minds . Activity attendance May increase . Thats a win-win for all .

I recently had the opportunity to tour Easy Living Country Estates in New Stanton during the past month with my mother, and I must express my concerns based on my observations. Throughout the entirety of the tour, I regrettably did not encounter any staff members, and it became apparent that the staff-to-patient ratio was significantly disproportionate. It was perplexing to witness a facility with such a large capacity for individuals yet experience a noticeable absence of visible staff, especially when there were instances of patients vocalizing their needs from their respective rooms. My primary concern lies in the discrepancy between the outward appearance of Easy Living Country Estates, which suggests a well-maintained personal care home, and the internal reality, reminiscent of a skilled facility with an apparent lack of staffing presence. The tour, unfortunately, left me with reservations about the level of care and attention that residents receive. Furthermore, during the tour, I perceived a lack of genuine concern from the individual guiding us. It was evident that she was merely presenting a facade, as she did not exhibit a sincere understanding of the residents, some of whom she did not even know by name. This, in turn, raises questions about the commitment and empathy of the staff towards the well-being of the residents. In sharing these observations, my intention is to provide constructive feedback and to alert others who may be contemplating Easy Living as a potential residence for their loved ones. It is my belief that transparency and open communication are crucial in fostering a positive and trustworthy relationship between prospective residents and their families and this place does not provide those things.

I toured Easy Living Country Estates with my mom. It is an assisted and independent. It's a 3-story building and it was clean. It looked like it was very well kept. I went inside and met a very nice woman. She showed us the room and the room was very nice. We both really liked it. It was down on the first floor so easy access to exit and everything really. They weren't serving food there at the time, they were just taking it to rooms and nobody was really coming down to the cafeteria because of COVID. The woman seemed very, very nice. I really liked her. One of the things that I really liked about was they don't charge an upfront fee. A lot of places, it's a $1000, $2000, $4000 or something to move in. It's not one of those expensive places. The woman was very, very sweet and accommodating. As we were arriving, one of the people that have been there for some years was being transferred to another more care facility. The woman was very emotional about her leaving, you could just see that she cared about her clients there. They were a family. It's not one of the fancy-schmancy places but it was very nice. It had a really nice place where you can sit outside if you wanted to. They had a game room, a solarium with lots of plants and a sun room that you could go sit out there if you wanted to in the winter to get your sunlight and greenery. I thought it was very nice.

Easy Living Country Estates would have been too overwhelming for my mother. It looked like an old hotel building with 4 floors. It was a big place, but it didn't offer anything for dementia. It was an absolutely beautiful place with a big atrium and a big indoor garden. The place was spotless and well taken care of. The rooms were very nice. The staff showed us a private room and a double occupancy room. They were clean and well maintained.

Our mother has been in Easy Living Estates for a month and half now. So far, we are very pleased with the facility, the care, and the administrative end of things, and we have no complaints. The staff is fine, and we have had no problems with them. The food and the activities are both great. They have at least three activities every day, from crocheting to music coming in as entertainment from the local area, to bingo, to Price is Right and numerous things provided by a social person at the facility.
