My dad has moved into Regency at South Shore. The reason why we chose this place is that it's available right away and he likes that his insurance would cover it. He likes the way the atriums are set up for when they have activities. It's open in the middle and there's easy access to the elevator. The employees have been really good. They check on them. There are nurses, help, and housekeeping, everything is all in the building. They will come and check on him at different times to make sure he is okay and everything. My dad's apartment is nice. He has a one-bedroom. He has a big living room. The bedroom is a good size. The bathroom is a little small. The kitchen is a good size. We went down for Christmas lunch, and the food was really good. My dad likes the food and the offerings they have. The staff members have been really helpful with everything we've needed.

Regency at South Shore is a very open, friendly place. They have a lot of activities. The room was nice. The staff was very friendly. He was very kind, answered any questions, and gave us a nice tour. It seemed like they had a lot of stuff going on and would keep my cousin busy. The facility seemed to be very clean, well taken care of, and well maintained. The atmosphere was home-like.

We chose Regency at South Shore for my mother, because it was close to our home. It allowed her to be as independent as she wanted to be, but also they will be able to provide support services as she needs more help. It's very elegant looking. Everything's clean, and I noticed that they do regular preventive and preemptive maintenance. They play bingo, have little social gatherings, and lectures. They also provide transportation to go shopping or to different events in the area. So, I think they are providing a good value for her money.

Regency at South Shore was very nice. I would quite honestly highly recommend them to families. The reason that we went in a different direction as they do not have the extent of continuous care that the other place does. They are independent living and they have assisted care, but they don't have skilled care onsite. They had very nice apartments. The staff was extremely helpful and extremely professional. Their general manager was very accommodating to us and helped us through all the questions and information we would need. Had things not worked out with my parents at the other place, they very well could have ended up at the Regency and we would have been happy with that. It was more a decision of the additional continuing care that was available at the other place. The Regency has other facilities that you could be transferred to for continuing care, but we opted for the other place, which has them all within the same campus and some under the same roof. It was very favorable. They had a small exercise room. They had a good calendar of social activities, plenty of nice gathering spaces, and a movie room. The folks that we met there and even some of the residents we met there who we had acquaintance with seemed very happy to be there. It's a very good community.

Regency Suites is a place that I would put my parents. It was calm and they had plenty of room to move around. The apartments were spacious. The staff that I met was friendly. They showed me what they had available.

Our experience with Regency at South Shore was fine until the COVID hit. They got locked down and my mom wasn't doing well. She had a nice room. She started going down and needed more care, but the prices went too high for us. The staff was fine. Mom had a large room with a bed, kitchenette and a bathroom. Prior to COVID, they had activities like bingo, they brought people in, birthday parties every month and happy hour on Friday and Monday. Their facilities look nice. We also pulled her out of there because she was not getting better and losing her mobility.

Regency at South Shore was a very nice place. The people were nice and the place itself was clean. They have activities like a movie night and different things during the week including bands.

The Regency was more independent living, and the clientele seemed more active and interactive. They were a very nice group of people. The food was good. It was a place you would be proud to bring your parents. They seemed to have a lot of activities.

Regency at South Shore is very nice. The staff we're dealing with is extremely good. They have a little gym, nurses, meals, a beauty shop, a library, and a lot of stuff. They also have a bus that takes the residents on appointments and shopping. Out of all the places that we checked, this is the right one for us. It had all of the things we needed for our parents. They have an apartment with a full kitchen.

I visited Regency and it's a very dated facility. It's old. The staff was wonderful. I was shown where the meals were. My reason for not going to the Regency is the age of the clients but there's nothing wrong with the facility and I didn't think the lady who showed me around was very nice and she followed through; gave me a card and followed up with phone calls. They could update the place and I told her that. Their kitchens are very dated; they're not modern.

Regency at South Shore was wonderful, the people were nice, and the apartments were good. It was everything that I wanted for my mom. The room has a beautiful kitchenette with a full refrigerator, bedroom, living room, bathroom, and shower. They had bingo, movie nights, happy hour two days a week, and crafts. It’s a beautiful area with a beautiful view by the lake. I felt that my mom would be safe and happy there.

The Regency was okay. When I went there, they were having a lot of going on in their main lobby. They had vendors and they were selling things. The apartments had balconies. I didn't care much about that and I was not very impressed. But I could live there.

There are two parts to this facility: one is for assisted living and one is more like a nursing home. I was told that many people transition from the assisted living area to the nursing home area as they age or if they become hurt or sick, but people rarely go back the other way. The assisted living area is very posh, well kept, and has a variety of activities. It looks kind of like a hotel. The nursing home side looks like a typical depressing nursing home. The staff seemed very kind, motivated, and helpful, and people also volunteer there. This is a very expensive facility, though, and will likely be out of reach for most people.

My grandmother had a stroke and after surgery in the hospital she did not have feeling in her left eye, arm, and leg. She then moved to south shore and is there because she can not be alone. I have visited her and the staff was very nice. They were quick to help and treat her very kindly. They have a nice outside area that we were able to take my grandmother outside on to get some fresh air. I will be back to visit her more and think that is a great place and that they are doing a good job there.
