My aunt has moved into Parkside North East. The community is very nice. It's very caring. They are taking great care of my aunt. Value for money is good. They serve her meals, and her care seems to be good. Her apartment is basic. It's efficient and it's good for what she needs. She has her own kitchenette and her own bath. There's plenty of closet space, a living room, and a bedroom. The community is pristine and very well kept. It seems like a very, very good community. The people care, and it's very nice. The staff are all very caring and efficient. I've tried their food, and it's good. Activities are good. There's a big variety of activities. They have music, they have speakers, they have crafts, they have games, and they have excursions. They can go do things and experience things. There's a hair salon.

Parkside North East was not a bad place. It's just not a proper fit for Mom. She has short-term memory issues. She'd have her own apartment there and she'd have to keep track of the key and that sort of stuff. She might go outside to sit and maybe forget her key and because it's a locked facility, you got to buzz to get in. She might forget how to do that. Because of that, it wasn't a good fit for her, but it was a very nice place. Mom's apartment would've been on the third floor and there were elevators. She had to remember where to go without assistance. There were too many red fags for us with her situation. The apartments were nice. We liked it. Nothing was going on right then, but they had a schedule with all the activities that they had. You could go outside, and there was a bench, but if they wanted to cross the road, the park was there. They had an exercise area and a room where they played their games or a social room. They have a fully functional kitchen outside their apartments. Their bathrooms weren't as elderly- friendly though. They just had traditional bathrooms. We didn't talk too much with the staff, but the manager did an alright job taking us around. The menu looked good.

Parkside North East was a very nice facility and very clean. Price-wise, it's comparable to most places. It's probably my number one pick out of the three facilities I've been to. The gentleman that I met was very knowledgeable, very pleasant, and easy to work with. The dining area was extremely pleasant. The staff was very helpful and explained a lot about the diet and the dining experience, whether it be breakfast and lunch or lunch and dinner. The rooms were very nice, sufficient for independent living, large enough, very much up-to-date, and had plenty of room. They had cards, bingo, a pool table, crafts, and Bible studies.

I think Parkside North East has done a fine job. My father was in the assisted living, while my mom's in the memory care unit right now. They clean her apartment once a week, and they offer various activities. They have a calendar up with weekly things going on. They also provide transportation to go to places outside of the facility. The staff is above average. They have a high turnover.

We will be moving into Parkside At North East. I like the fact that they have progressive care. We can go into independent, then into assisted if we needed, and then into final care. They even lined us up with a funeral home. They have a doctor on-site and two nurses. If we were in need, even in our independent status, they would come to our place and help us. They have many activities and bus trips. They have a dining hall where they offer meals every day. The rooms were very nice. They did a good job also of the layout and the flow. They have a nice kitchen, so if we preferred to cook our own meals, we could. We ended up with a two-bedroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room.

We have toured Parkside at North East and it was excellent. I liked just the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the kindness of the staff, and the happiness of the residents. It's the independent living part that we toured and the rooms were clean, excellent, and accessible. We didn't try the food but we saw the dining room, everybody seemed to be eating when we were there, and nobody seemed to be complaining. The residents all seemed cheerful even though we did not talk to anybody. They seem to be offering quite a few activities like movies and tours. They were offering a lot of things where you could go out of the building like if you wanted to go to Wal-Mart or Walgreens or the drugstore. If you wanted to go to the beach and other places, you could sign up and do those things too. I saw the staff working so that was impressive. I saw that the server in the lunchroom was friendly and respectful to the patients and that was nice. She didn't just put the food down, she was nice about it. They were also neat and clean. The floors were also cleaned, swept, and dusted. Everybody's apartment, in the independent living part, had little things on them. They were allowed to put little things outside their doors to make them look personalized. We also saw their assisted living. However, my mother is probably going to need more memory care now so that changes everything for us.

My mom is very happy at Parkside North East. We are very pleased. She is in independent living at this time, but the support for memory issues is important to me. It will support my mom's needs moving forward. She's not crazy about the food. They have a lot of activities like chair yoga, chair exercises, and travel activities. They have Catholic masses and for different denominations. They also have something going on once a week. She just went to a meeting with all of the residents, including the staff. They do socials, like a wine social on Mondays and 'sweets' day where the staff comes around and gives sweets. They are not eating at the dining room yet because of the COVID restrictions, so they deliver it to them. My mom gets two meals a day delivered to her. She has a little shelf outside her door. They knock on the door and let her know that her meal is there. It is actually why she's not happy about the food because she can't eat with anyone else. They can hang out with each other in their rooms though, but anytime they're outside they have to wear a mask. They have a flower group and a book club. They had a social a little while ago that was right down the hall from her room that she enjoyed. It was people just getting together and getting to know each other. It's good, and they keep them pretty active. I think the activity director's name is Angela, and she's doing a pretty good job.

We visited Parkside North East. It was very nice, but for the price and the distance, that's 50 miles roundtrip; it's probably over that because my brother and I live in the city and she lives in Jamestown, so for me to get there, it would probably take me 70 miles roundtrip, and that was just too much. My visit was very good. The gentleman took me around, it seemed very good, but I think what happened was if I had been more serious about taking my mom there, I probably would have asked for an even more detailed tour. The room was a large, spacious studio. The one-bedroom apartments were very large, they had a living room, and a bedroom. The guy who took me on the tour was excellent. I thought the price was a little too high. They had a TV room, that's all I can remember.

My visiting experience at Parkside Suites was wonderful. The rooms were great, and the staff was wonderful. They had all kinds of very nice activities. The place was very good, and their price was very reasonable.
