My mother has moved to Parkside at Westminster. It's great. The staff is great. They have activities. They have Tuesday morning breakfast, which is like bagels and Danish donuts, fruit, and coffee. They have music. They had a St Patrick's Day party. They'll probably have something for Easter. Thursday, they had opening baseball, and they had food for that. You don't get food with your rent here, but they have little parties. It was built in the 1980s. They're very friendly.

I'm on a waiting list for Parkside at Westminster. There isn't another place in town that has the security, the activities, the emergency pull buttons in the living room and the bathroom, nobody can hold a match to them. The rent includes everything. Every utility, even trash and sewer trash, whatever. Nobody else can hold a candle to that, nobody in this town. Just very warm and inviting. It's independent living, and I don't even need a car. They provide transportation for groceries and doctor appointments.

Parkside at Westminster was a warm and engaging community. They have a lot of perks that other places don't. They have the amenities to make it more comfortable. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, and down to earth. The rooms were well-done, well-designed, and cozy. I would live there myself.

I visited Parkside at Westminster and they're very nice. What got my attention is their activities and the things that they do with the residents. They almost have something every day. There were activities like bingo, live entertainment, and also music. It's independent living, so you prepare your meals. I only met two members of the staff, the director, Dick, who was very polite and we met another woman. Everybody was very pleasant here. They took us around and showed us all the laundry room, the activity room, the apartments, and the outside patio. The place was very nice and very well kept, they prepare your meals.

I went to Parkside at Westminster and met the manager of the place. He was very congenial and very knowing as he's been there a long time. He showed me two different apartments, one was in the process of being renovated while the other one was already completed. It was a one-bedroom place with a small kitchen, a nice-sized living room, a nice-sized bedroom, and a balcony. There seems to be plenty of storage for one or two people. They were very nice. It was sort of being in an upgraded hotel. They offer lunch on Tuesdays and there are deliveries of food coming in and out all the time in a day. There were several rooms set aside for gaming and socializing. There was laundry available if you wanted to, but if you had a washer and dryer, you could put it in your own apartment, too. There was a walking path in the woods behind it and they have buses to take them to various places (banks, doctors, shopping, and so forth) during the week.

I visited Parkside at Westminster. I thought it was a very nice place. It was a beautiful place, very well-kept, and very clean. The apartments that I looked at were a decent size. I didn't think the pricing was too bad for all the amenities that you would get from there. The gentleman that showed me around the building and into the apartments, was extremely professional and very informative. Then I met another woman, I'm not sure what her position was, but she also was very professional, very encouraging, and very welcoming. As far as those two people are concerned, I was very impressed. They had a nice sunroom, a library, and a large activity room. That is a facility that does not provide food. The apartments had their own kitchens, so the people that live there would be responsible for their own food.

I will be moving into Parkside at Westminster. The staff showed me all three floors. The very first thing is that they help you with transportation for groceries and doctor visits. The facility is extremely quiet, very clean, and very neat. I didn't see a speck of dust anywhere. I got to meet five people that lived there. We just sat in the little lounge area and just visited for 30 minutes. I felt welcomed instantly. They have a really nice little fitness room that I was attracted to. They have inside laundry available, and that's free of cost. They have a big dining area that you can use for multiple purposes. They have a piano in there, and they do entertainment. They have a little back courtyard with a barbecue grill that you can use. It was very nice. They had a lot of amenities that were very inviting. They have a coffee bar. Once a month they have a wine, cheese, and bread bar.

My mom was at Parkside at Westminster 2 years ago. It was just an independent senior living so it's without meals. It eventually got to a point where she needed meals so we had to move her to another facility. We liked it though, it was very nice there, but it was just your own senior apartment. They didn't have meals and there were no health care people around or any of that kind of thing. The apartments were nice and everybody had a balcony so you could go outside and mother liked it there a lot. They had a big kitchen and she had a 2-bedroom and 1-bath place. They had activities and they had bus trips. It was very nice but she just was getting to a point where we couldn't trust her to be cooking and she wasn't eating right. So that's when we had to look for a place that offered meals. They had bingo and they had concerts. They had little sessions in the afternoon where all the ladies would sit out. They had busses that would take them out to lunch and take them downtown to concerts there. They had all kinds of little things like free breakfast on a certain day. That was nice, we like that. We just needed the next step of care. That's why we left. We didn't see the staff that much because everybody left at 5:00 so you didn't see them that much. It was a good location. We don't live in Erie but it was easy for us to get to that location. We could get my mother for activities and it was nice. It's right in the middle. Not far from the peninsula, not far from shopping and stores.
