I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm in Dunlevy Manor now. It has been simply fantastic. The administrators here have all been wonderful. I have ten months of experience with it, and they are wonderful people. This is the cleanest facility I have ever been in. Personal hygiene rates very highly here. As for the conditions of the rooms and everything, it's fantastic. They just recently got done painting. It's small. There is a maximum of about 24 people here. We get personalized service. I would highly recommend this place to anybody in this area that's looking for a personal care facility. The food is near chef quality; that's how good it is. I'm a foodaholic myself, and the food is terrific here. We have a preacher that comes in every Wednesday, and we have a church service. They have activities for those who want to participate. They have bingo night. Just recently, we had a casino night. We have cookouts on the 4th of July. We had a wonderful Christmas season and New Year's party here. The amenities are very good. These past 10 months have been great. The main cook has been here for years. She wouldn't be here that long if she really didn't know her craft. I have not found a negative here. It's exceeded every expectation I ever had. It's wonderful. I love the people here. The overall environment is fantastic.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother-in-law is in Dunlevy Manor. It's all one floor, so it's not like two or three levels. They get them up in the morning and get them out of their room. Everybody eats in the dining room, which is pretty large. They had a yard, and it was fenced in. It's a small facility, but it's very homey. The staff members are very nice. The food is all homemade. They have a big screen where they have a movie night in the yard. They play kickball in their wheelchairs. They have physical therapy. They have their menu for the month. They have activities, so they're not sitting in their rooms all day. On Wednesdays, there's a preacher. They have bingo. They have a little beauty parlor. They even have a pet day where they have a pet for therapy and stuff. There's no eating in their rooms so that they can come out and socialize with the others. It's not a large crowd.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother-in-law was in Dunlevy Manor. It was excellent, and we were very pleased. The home itself was clean, and the people were very friendly. We felt like my brother-in-law really was happy there. The staff was very informative. They gave attention to the mental health of the residents there. They tried to schedule people to do music and all sorts of things that they could do safely because of the pandemic. They made sure they visited with the residents routinely. The food was very good. It was home cooked, so it was very good and healthy for the residents. It was just an all-around nice place. It's neat and clean, and they kept family informed. We were very pleased with them. They had an area outside where everyone could go. They even had a couple of little dogs running around in there that entertained people. I thought the amenities were wonderful. He was able to stay there just on his Social Security check, so I felt the value was fantastic for what he had to pay. Hospice came in, and they welcomed hospice. They recommended the hospice company that we chose, and of course they were wonderful. I thought it was quite a value. One of my sisters-in-law told me the food was good, and my brother-in-law enjoyed it. I was able to tour prior to his being admitted, but of course with COVID, I couldn't go. My sister-in-law went when they allowed her and when he passed. She was very pleased with the information they gave her and the help they gave him. They had activities there. They had a man there playing the trombone and singing, and I noticed the people who were sitting around were watching and they all were amazing, clean, and well groomed. They made sure their hair was cut, they were having a good time, and they were really enjoying themselves. They had more activities when COVID wasn't an issue. They had really planned a lot. I had a friend who had a relative in there, and she reported the activities were really nice, and everyone enjoyed it. I was very pleased with the value.
