I cannot say enough good things about Simpson Meadows. My mother was in independent living (on the 3rd floor in Asbury Heights) with medication administration added on. Everyone from the office staff to the kitchen staff and especially the nursing staff, went above and beyond to make my Mom feel special. They all took wonderful care of her and genuinely loved her. She made many nice friends there but was hesitant to go to social activities so her relationship with the staff became very special to her. Sadly, she only lived there for 10 months before she passed away (she wasn't ill, she died of natural causes) but I made the best possible choice in moving her to Simpson. They made the last year of her life easier, especially her end of life care. The nursing staff went above and beyond to administer hospice care without moving her out of her apartment. The kitchen staff did way more than expected by always making sure she had meals brought to her. I personally developed very special relationships with all the staff and I will never forget the love and care they gave my Mother. I would highly recommend Simpson to anyone that is looking for special care for their loved one.

I had an in-person tour of Simpson Meadows. I like the cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, and the general layout of the living apartment. They showed me the dining area.

A good friend of mine was a resident at Simpson Meadows for about 5 years. It was good until the director retired. Now there is a clown running a circus(literally). The new director is beyond unprofessional, I’m not even sure how he got that position. I get the feeling that he does not genuinely care about the residents. Every time I have interacted with staff, they were rushing around, stressed and upset. (Lack of staff is a huge issue here).. Simpson Meadows guarantees assistance with whatever the resident needs, but there are 15 residents per 1 care giver which means they are not able to meet each persons needs. While visiting my friend, I witnessed this new director guy discuss an employees personal business in a hallway full of residents. 10 mins later I heard the same residents discuss this employees personal business with others!! (Other staff, & residents) I could go on and on and on… one world : UNPROFESSIONAL! please do not sent your loved ones here! Save yourself the headache

We visited Simpson Meadows Retirement Community. The person that we met there was extremely helpful and gave us a lot of good information about the facility. She gave us a tour. It looked clean and nice. It had all the amenities that my mother would need if she was staying there and the assistance that she might need for her short stay. She gave us printed information and guided us as to what we would need to do before bringing her there for her stay. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. The facility is nice enough. We toured the different living spaces that they offer like one-bedroom or studio apartment, which is all that she would need a studio. We toured the dining rooms, the library, the reading room, and TV, everything like that that they offer. We found it to be a nice enough place. They have movie night, games and things like that. We were only in contact with one person there who guided us through. She asked us about what my mother's needs are, and she gave us an overview. She gave us a tour. She was very helpful. She sent me the information that we need, like paperwork to be filled out and things like that.

The food was good, and the people were nice at Simpson Meadows. It would have been a very attractive place for me to live. The apartments were very nice. There were many choices. It was clean and in a good location too. It is near a Wegmans grocery store and the movies. The person who accommodated me was very knowledgeable. They had a luncheon for interested people and a lecture on current events. They have lectures, movies, and a fitness room. They also have a bus that takes the residents to places.

Simpson Meadows was a beautiful facility, but it's too expensive for my mother. The apartment was very clean and spacious, and they provide furniture if you don't have it. The person who showed us around was excellent and very professional. It's the nicest place we saw.

I thought Simpson Meadows was really nice, but the cost was higher and it didn't have a swimming pool. The only thing that it had -- which the other place didn't have that would have been appealing to my mother -- was that she could have chosen the amenities within her apartment. It was not really expensive; I thought it was reasonable, but it was more expensive than what we can afford. The staff was very accommodating and provided excellent follow-up. They do have activities for the residents, but they did not have a pool, and my mom will benefit by the arthritis treatment at the pool.

The place seemed really nice when we looked at it for Mom. The womean acted like mom would be having exercise and lots of activities She sits by herself all day. After nine at night you can bet the staff is in the residences get together room on two hour breaks. I have also saw them hide in a dining room area so we will not see them on their cell phones. Near my Mom's room it stinks like Urine. I have reported it a number a times and they say the women are 104 and they don't change there bedding or Mattress. They spray this air freshener that mixed wit the Urineis not pleasant. They should know that you can't mask urine smell with a chemical. The women should not be living in this unit (carpet on floor) if they can't maintain proper hygiene. This has been on going before my mom became a resident. They do her laundry and her close are rolled in balls. Ruined. When they help dress her they are cross with her. They nevr try to make her look good. Lastly they never insust on her washing her hands after being using the bathroom. Germs get passed like wild fire. They really need to clean up their act fore $5,000.00 a month for what I call maybe 10 minutes if assistance a day.

I am residing in Simpson Meadows. I chose it because it is close to my two daughters. The staff is excellent. I have no complaints whatsoever. They are better than I expected. I have my own studio apartment. It is a bedroom-living room combo and a kitchen. They refurbished the whole place when I moved in. All is brand new: new paint, new carpet, and new appliances. I make my own breakfast and lunch. They supply dinner and it is good. It is good that it is very close to shopping because my driving is limited. I am only few blocks from stores.

The only complaint I had with Simpson Meadows was the woman that I talked to. She was very rushed. When you go into a facility, you expect time. I was there maybe for fifteen minutes only. She took me down for a tour of their memory unit. I was up and down the hallway; I did not see any room or anything. I didn't tour the whole facility, and it has been reported. My mother does not really need memory care. Basically, all she needs right now is assistance with some things. She's not totally incapacitated.

Simpson Meadows is very clean. My mom likes the food there. I like that everyone is caring and she's safe in there.
