My parents were at Church of God Home. The appearance of the place was great. It was very clean and their apartment was very nice. All in all, we were pleased with them. My aunt is there and she loves the place. They offer bingo, church services, crafts, and things like that. They said the food was great. I went down with them to the table. I didn't eat the food, but sometimes they would bring their food back to their apartment, and it was very good. They had no complaints whatsoever about that. There were just some things that we weren't aware of and we weren't told at the very beginning. It's like if my parents fall, the nurses cannot come in and pick them up. They have to call the family, or they call an ambulance to come in and assist with that. We had no idea about that. We should have been made aware of that in the beginning.

The staff at Church of God Home explained the different wings that they had and what they've done in the skilled nursing. There were times that they get snacks and do activities. They try to keep them out of their rooms as much as possible and interact with other residents. They said that whatever requests we would want for our father, they would do it. It was a very nice place and everybody was very polite and answered our questions. You could have a one-bedroom there. The room can either have just one bed or two, depending on what you would want. It also had a bathroom, a dresser, and a TV.

Church of God Home is a nursing home, but they take up all kinds of levels including long-term care. I wasn't too impressed. It's more like a hospital type setting, and the rooms were very small. The person during the tour was nice. The dining room looked good. It's not a restaurant type of setting. It had just tables and chairs around, and they had a lot of staff there. The residents were in a sunroom with a television on. It's an older building, so they don't have up-to-date material in it, with old carpets.

My Mother was put in the Church of God Home after a fall . It is amazing. I go in to see her pretty regularly. It is always clean. The food is also amazing. The staff is very nice and helpful. Lots to activities. LOVE THAT SHE IS THERE! Also close to me.

Church of God is very nice. They seem to do an awful lot for their seniors. They had clothing classes and knitting classes, and they took their seniors on trips.

This is by far one of the best nursing homes I've ever been too. I was a youth director of a local church in New York. During my time with the church, the youth and I would travel to several states and work in different nursing homes. This one stood out for me. I've been to so many homes I can barely remember their names however I'll never forget this one. The staff was so friendly and polite. I found it amazing that ALL of the staff knew all of the resident's names. To me that meant a lot. The facility offered many different services. There was a section for the mentally ill; that was a secure lockdown facility. There were also different sections depending on your level of needs. Some rooms were completely separate from the facility and were just for residents that didn't necessarily need care or aide, however just felt uncomfortable living alone. This is by far the best nursing home I've ever attended and I will never forget this place.

When my grandmother had to be placed in a nursing home after having a cancerous brain tumor removed, we chose the Church of God Home. It was an incredible place. Not only were the facilities clean and welcoming, but the staff was outstanding. The nursing staff, food staff, activities staff, and therapy staff were kind, caring, and compassionate. Every one of them made an effort to know the resident's names and likes and dislikes. They made the residents feel like they were part of a family, which is so important for those who can no longer live with their own families. They also made visiting family members feel very welcome. The activities provided were creative, varied, and provided wonderful experiences for the residents. The food was hot and fresh. When my grandmother was nearing death the staff was extremely supportive and caring. After her passing they held a service to say good-bye to her earthly body and their presence was deeply comforting to us. My grandfather has already decided that if he ever needs to go to a nursing home, Church of God Home is where he wants to be.
