My friend has chosen Parkview Christian Retirement Community because they have a salad bar every day, which is a big thing to her. It has good walking trails, too. She also chose this place because it is an easy ride to her son's place. They have a library and a lot of exercise classes. They have covered walkways. The staff is very nice and introduced themselves. Even some of the residents introduced themselves. The food is very good. The place is not as new and not as pretty as other places, but the people are helpful.

Clients of mine chose Parkview because they like the feel of the one-level campus with walkways from the apartments to community buildings. The couple are gardeners and walkers, so they really appreciate the grounds at Parkview and the chance to get outside into the fresh air daily. They also like the proximity of Parkview to the Gateway Plaza for shopping. When I went over with my clients to visit Parkview, we were most favorably impressed. The staff facilitated a great tour and invited us to lunch. We met residents who talked of how much they enjoyed the community. And we left with a sense that Parkview is a genuinely supportive place that values seniors. My clients have been on the Parkview waitlist for a year and a half now and would dearly like to have me get their house sold this spring during the height of the real estate season. But they are not going to market their home until their number comes up at Parkview, and they are happily moved in. If they could do anything different, they said they would have put their name on the list a few years ago. That way, according to their understanding, if they reached the top of the list before they were ready, they could have passed but retained their top position.

I really like being in Parkview Christian Retirement Community. They have really good ministry and other stuff going on, and they have Christian things going on every week. The food is really good, and the staff is also really good. Somebody even came up yesterday to help me with my computer on the same day I stopped by the office section to tell them I needed some help. I didn't have to wait a long time.

We chose Parkview for my mom because it was small and it was the most affordable. The rooms were adequate. What was wonderful about them was the staff and such happy people that live there. We visited some classes. We had meals with them, and the people felt like they were at home. They were very welcoming. The community is #1, and that was what sealed the deal. The staff was very good and very helpful in showing us around. The food was fine. It was the happiness of the residents and the affordability that made us choose them.

My husband is at Parkview Christian Retirement Community. It's a smaller community than some others. I think my husband likes Parkview because it is smaller and probably more intimate. They have good, caring staff and good activities and services. They have a heart for the people who live there. Once a week, they take people to a swimming pool and provide transportation to appointments. They provide transportation to certain stores and markets, too. They have outings for the residents. They have entertainment, like music, and activity classes, like Tai Chi. It is a Christian community, so they have a minister who comes in with his wife to do Bible studies and Sunday services. The food is good. My husband likes it.

Parkview Christian Retirement Community is a wonderful and lovely place, and I'm very happy. My room is a 1-bedroom, and the bedroom is quite large and has a big closet. The living room is plenty big enough; I have room for a dining table, and I have a kitchen. The staff couldn't be nicer. I think it's a good choice.

We liked the people at Parkview Christian Retirement Community as well as the hominess of it, but the facility didn't offer memory care. I really like how the common areas were integrated into the way the clients moved to and from the rooms and the dining room. I liked how many personal, homey touches were there, and it seemed like a community of people who liked each other. We had lunch there; it was decent and served in a nice way. The clients had a choice and they could view their choices. It was almost like a restaurant. They had daily outings, a room for TV viewing, and a room for quiet time. It just seemed like a warm and not quite so institutional place.

We visited Parkview. My mother was very pleased with the services provided. She was excited about potentially going there, but there was a waiting list. My mother liked the layout of the rooms. They looked nice. They have different sizes and prices that you can choose from. She liked the food and the way it was set-up. It was more like a restaurant with a salad bar and what-have-you. She liked that. They have a quite variety of activities.

My father has been in the assisted living at Parkview Christian Retirement for at least a year, but he lived on their independent campus for 11 years. It's small but very personable. He goes to exercise class everyday. The caregivers and the place are excellent. There is no complaint at all.

Parkview was my absolute favorite one because it is all one level with no elevators and no confusing hallways. Their dining room was gorgeous. Also, this place is like three blocks from where we live.

My parents moved at Parkview Christian Retirement Community and they liked it. It would be nice if they had two persons who assisted the residents instead of the one-person assist. It was the only concern I had but other than that, my parents liked the staff.
