My tour of New Friends of Coos Bay was good. The facility is not as nice as the other two. But it was still a nice place. It's not as big as the other two facilities, and it's just memory care. We asked that my husband to go there because he seemed to like that place, but they would not take him because they considered him a fall risk. They have an open area when you walk in the doors. They have four different pods, and each pod has about 15 residents. During the day, the residents are free to walk around anywhere they want out in the open area or anything. Rather than one central dining hall, they are served meals in those pods. At night, the doors are locked going into the pods so the residents can't wander. We saw some of the residents and they seemed to be pretty happy.
