My mother is in Saint Simeon's Senior Community. The grounds and the building are beautiful. It's all very clean. They have a lot of staff who are very well trained. They're very communicative. The food is good. They go the extra mile to care for my mother. She's getting all of her therapies and all of her medications. She's happy. She's at peace there. It's very expensive, but it's a very good place. They appear to have an in-house chef, and my mom is on a chopped food diet. She's happy with it, and she's eating. She's cleaning her plate. I have no issues with the facility. Her room is cleaned daily. Her bed is made daily. It's very well maintained.

They almost killed my husband. Not enough help and the help they get sit and play with their phones instead of caring for the residents. My husband is safe now in a better home. I warn everyone about this place. It’s nice on the outside but inside it’s mean, uncaring and has an evil presence They have been reported to the state health department and have been investigated.

I’ve lived here for 6 months and plan to leave as soon as possible. They ran out of medicine when someone didn’t order a new supply for me. The rooms are not cleaned as advertised. The food is horrible and the administration does nothing about constant complaints. Only one thing is good. The nursing staff is wonderful, caring and kind. Saint Simeon’s used to be the premier retirement home in Tulsa, but has dropped to near the bottom. Don’t be fooled by advertising.

Administration was cold and not helpful. Aides told my loved one that the person was mean. (to their face). Loved one became frightened to ask for anything due to attitudes of aides. Medication mistakes were made. Very expensive and would not have minded if it was a better environment. Very little compassion from aides, administration. Rooms had windows but otherwise were cold. Loved one did enjoy some physical therapy there. Despite masking, being vaccinated I was told I had to leave by 6:30 every evening. (evenings were hardest for my loved one). I never ventured out of loved ones room and followed their guidelines. I was told in final meeting that I was "lucky that administration chose to spend and hour with me explaining the problems they saw with my loved one before they kicked them out". It wasn't an hour and they were arrogant.

My mom was at Saint Simeon's Senior Community. It was a very nice facility and a great community. They were very kind, and they treat their patients like family. The facility was great. She was in the memory care, and they did not just have rooms. They had groups of rooms in the home where you go in, there is a common area and a place where they eat, and they had the rooms off of that. They had all kinds of things: they would have bingo, exercise, people coming in to play the piano and sing, and a movie time. They even had a program that I was able to take part in, too. My mom had a very nice room. The location was a little bit out of the way, but for the level of care, it was great place. It was a good value, but we could not afford it.

My father lived at Saint Simeon's Senior Community, and two of my aunts had lived there. They were topnotch, and very expensive. They were superb, and very caring. They provided quality service, and professional, and very knowledgeable staff. They would have exercise class and singing class. As a daughter of their client, I would go and participate with him in those activities, and I didn't know my dad could sing and they had him singing songs. It was amazing. They really did a super job of encouraging their clients to come out and participate, and their family to come join them. It was easy to get in and out of. It was excellent. The food was excellent. We were allowed to go and have meals with him anytime. We just had to let them know we were coming, so they'd be prepared for us. They did family gathering meals. When my aunts were there, their children and their spouses would all gather and have a reunion there, and they provided the meals for a very reasonable price.

My dad moved to the Saint Simeon's Community after a debilitating heart attack and stroke 2 1/2 years ago. My first impression was that the facility was clean and bright. As I watched my dad become acquainted with his new living situation I realized what a warm and inviting place Saint Simeon's is. The staff all address my dad by name and and are quick to offer assistance and kind words. My dad moved into Saint Simeon's not to live the rest of his years but to be active for the rest of his years. He can choose to have quiet times or to participate in numerous activities including field trips, classes, physical fitness and more. I live 22 hours away from my dad and I don't get to visit as much as I would like, Saint Simeon's gives me the peace of mind that my dad is being well cared for, kept active and safe. As my dad moves from an independent living arrangement to a place in the memory center, I fill confident that the staff at Saint Simeon's Community will continue to keep him active and safe. I feel blessed that my dad has a home at Saint Simeon's Community!

My 81 year old father entered skilled nursing after gall bladder surgery complications. He needed physical therapy to regain his strength. He caught double pneumonia while there and was left unattended with out his oxygen on. His levels fell below 86 and if my sister hadn't checked on him and spent the night in his room he may have not survived. The didn't return that night at all to check his vitals. He said every meal he was served last and his food was always cold. Please avoid this facility there must be better options out there. He was release with double pneumonia and fluid in his lungs to go home. Unbelievable.

I visited Saint Simeon’s Senior Community. I liked the attention to details on things such as in the courtyard area, they had a playground area because a lot of people had their grandkids and great grandkids visit. I liked the fact that on their televisions, they were actually showing old TV shows that the residents could relate to rather than the contemporary ones. They had a dog that they considered a house dog.

I saw a room in Saint Simeon’s. It’s a single room with a bathroom, but it’s not anything impressive. There was quite an offensive odor from the hallway when I went in, so it was negative for me. They don’t have available rooms at that time.
Provider Response
Dear Karen, We’re so sorry to hear that your visit to Saint Simeon’s was anything less than impressive. We strive to maintain a clean and pleasant-smelling facility. Visitors, family members, and Residents often comment on how our community always smells good and what a great job the housekeeping staff does. We apologize that this was not your experience and hope that if the opportunity arises, you will consider giving us a second chance. Our room availability varies each week, so we may be able to meet your needs at this time, depending on what area of care you or your loved one need. Thank you for taking the time to come in for a tour.

St Simeon's is such a beautiful and well staffed nursing facility. The entire campus is surround by lush, well maintained gardens with gorgeous peacocks strolling about. The facilities themselves are also very beautiful on the inside. The staff is compromised of some of the most helpful and attentive people. I always feel welcome and if I need anything someone is always readily available to assist me. The facility also has many activities and events that keep residents and family involved and provide a ton of fun for those who participate. St Simeon's also has great amenities such as a large gym, bistro and a large saltwater swimming pool.
