My brother moved into The Bradford. The place is really nice and very clean. They have either a 1-bedroom apartment or a 2-bedroom house with a garage. You have your own apartment, so you make your own food. They are all friendly and everybody wants to get out and meet all the other neighbors. It's just a really nice community. They have a clubhouse and they have different activities there. They just remodeled their clubhouse and it is very elaborate and very clean. On Sundays, they have a Bible study. And then on Mondays, they have a community dinner where everybody brings a dish. They also have game days.

I have a family member that's been living there for several years. It was not bad until the new owners took over. They're making it look pretty BUT they are not taking care of the residents as they did before. All rent has been raised (from $650 to $850), they stopped taking their trash cans to the curb, and the yard work, or lack of, is horrible. We have pictures of the back yard last year compared to this year. It's horrible. Several people have been forced to move because of the increased rent. We were told no improvement will be made to our place unless we move BUT rent will go up about $200 per month. PER MONTH!!! Needless to say.......looking for a new place!

We toured Paradise Square Retirement Village, but we didn't have any meals there or anything. They're very clean and well-organized. I saw some of the rooms there. I didn't see a lot of activities going on though. We came early, so I'm sure people were at lunch or whatever. We got to see some apartments. It's kind of difficult when the people are at home, but they give you permission to go in. We got people's permission before they enter any apartment that was occupied. The staff was very nice.

My friend is in Paradise Square. The place is very nice. We chose it because it is convenient. However, they do not really have anything for retirees. It is just a place to live more or less. They have a clubhouse that they can use which is nice, but as far as activities and anything, there are none here at this place. They have small apartments with attached garage -- which is very nice -- and they are very roomy. They take care of their own yards, which is very nice. I will recommend them to others.

When my loved one moved into this housing complex a few years back, I felt comfort in them being there. I felt like they would be safe living there. Here lately it seems like the village is run down and in disrepair. When a complaint is made at the front office, it takes them several days for management to get to the issue. When they finally do, it's usually a temporary fix. My loved one is getting dissatisfied with the way the community is being managed.

When my grandfather was there towards the end of his life, the nurses and doctors at Paradise Valley Retirement Villages were very helpful. The made sure he always had his meals on time, cards or dominoes to play and a very well balanced diet. Overall I feel like he was very well taken care of.
